That sign must be on the Turnpike leaving NJ into Delaware.....

I'm not clinging to anything or yelling at will. I'm just laughing at your avoidance of the rejection of the "Conservative" new GOP strategy.
I responded to will talking about my states rejection of democrats and the obama agenda...
NEW FREAKING JERSEY..... We don't elect republicans......
Why don't you stay on topic. This is a huge defeat in a largely conservative area for the Beck/Limbaugh's new GOP strategy.
Still avoiding the topic I see Rev. Why is it that you cannot accept the fact that the Conservative GOP strategy FAILED in a largely conservative area.
Any hope to carry that stategy nationwide? I hope so.
Where to begin.
First, it wasn't a "huge" defeat. It was a relatively small margin last I looked.
Second, it was a close victory over a 3rd party candidate that was late into entering the race
Third, the "GOP" is what helped to end up losing this thing for them, as polls seem to point that the former GOP candidate supporting the Democrat instead of the Conservative was the main reason a number of undecideds went Owens over Hoffman.
Fourth, despite being a 3rd party candidate and being a late entrant the fact that Hoffman managed to be seen as the legitimate #2 in this race, knock the GOP candidate out of the race essentially, and actually had a legit and realistic shock in and of itself is a win of sorts for that "movement". Its kind of like the Giants vs Patriots in the 2007 season, where even though they lost it was a positive for them because they went in and punched them in the mouth and did a ton better than you'd have expected just a few months back. After Conservatism was declared "dead" by many last year at this time, the fact he managed what he did is a positive for that movement even if he didn't win it all.
Fifth, that doesn't mean its all sunshine and roses. It would've been far better if he won. But you're taking a low single digit loss by a late entrant THIRD PARTY candidate that up until 4 days prior was having to compete with the GOP and 2 days ago had the GOP essentially throwing support behind the other candidate as way, way, way bigger of a referendum on conservatism than it is while simultaneously ignoring the large amount of progress the guy made.
Didn't they select a republican who was rebuked for a conservative, who endorsed the democrat AND ran as an indendant?
Is this the VICTORY you want to cling to? REally?
Despite the closeness in the final tally...it was a HUGE defeat. You cannot turn a blinds eye to the fact that this is a largely conservative GOP district.
The fact that THEY rejected this new GOP strategy is absolutely a HUGE defeat to any hope that this agenda can be carried to the country as a whole. This is a lesson to those in the GOP who listen to Beck/Limbaugh for their strategy. Personally, I hope that they didn't learn their lesson.
Nice deflection Rev.....but sadly for your movement, this defeat cannot be overcome by simple denial.

Really? It has been pointed out here and elsewhere that Obama was spending alot of time in NJ. Obviously he saw it as important. The one thing I will give you, is the observance of the electorate turning on corruption, and lies. The people are tired of being lied to by their elected representatives. Starting with the Chief liar, Obama himself.
Now Will, you can try and spin it anyway you wish. Hell, If I were in your shoes I sure as heck would. But, at the end of the day, and you stare into the mirror, you know damned well that this threw a monkey wrench into the works for Obama.

No spin necessary. Even a crooked Democrat is preferable to a Republican.

Now that's the spirit! I just love it when a point in time, or something forces a slight glimmer of truth out of liberals. :doh
So you are not for checks and balance of a two party system? You'd rather see liberals occupy the entirety of the system? :2no4: Man what a sad commentary that is. :hitsfan:

OK. This shows nothing other than your incomprehension of what I wrote.
sorry, I misread your quote. Nevertheless, I do not see any mention of the NY23 race today on the Fox website. It's as if it didn't happen.
you are still my favorite far lefty..... :doh:lol:
Huge? Who will remember it come next week? /facepalm
I am beginning to think that when the far left bellows the loudest then, that is the course we should take.....Like a seeing eye lib. :2wave:

You mean take a chapter from the Democrat playbook? As of 430AM Wend. morning it was still to close to be called.[/QUOTE?
Perhaps the Republans will be able to drag this through the courts and stall it for months.
We tried a two party system. Republicans are on record as being committed only to the failure of the Democratic administration. There is no interest in bi-partisan governance. We don't have to get hit in the head twice to get the message. When the position of the Republican party is voiced by Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and the horde of thoroughly despicable parrots that echo their opinions, we would, yes, prefer a crook to a Republican.
