What is wrong with being partisan? If you find someone's platform completely unethical why compromise?

Partisanship divides the country into my team and your team, keeping people from deciding on their own about issues and instead voting for which ever candidate has a (D) or (R) by his name.

You know, I heard that lame kind of debating way back in Kindergarten. It is called the "I know I am, but what are you" argument. The whole system is ridiculous, the idea that you can vote for some people depending on their supposed views and then they can do pretty much what they want(within the law.) and you cannot do much about it until next election is a travesty of democracy.
Not that democracy is too great it still a gov't but real democracy is better than all other forms of gov't.

Feela, I wish I could vote on every issue too, unfortunately I don't have the time to do so. A representative democracy is the best feasable option at this point in history.

No it isn't, what is needed at least is decentralised, direct democracy.
Or in the very least making the representives actually representative and not giving them virtually free reign once they are elected.

well the word libertarian was invented by anarchists and means maximising individual liberty/ a synonym for anarchism in america until the 70s and still is in the rest ofthe world.
I'm just saying those pro-corporate apologists in the USA like the libertarian party are not really libertarians in the real sense of maximising individual liberty, they are hence phoneys.
Of course they have tried to hijack our word in the USA.

I'm going to throw the bullshit flag on that one. The libertarian party is the party for maximizing individual liberty, the fact that they wish to allow people the freedom to form corporations and make money without the government elbowing in is just one facet of this.

He was one of the main men behind the nuclear weapon? Anyone willing to put nuclear weapons in the hand of mankind is a complete moron, imbacil.. You can see that now.

What will happen?

We had automatic weapons for a few hundred years, and we kill massive amounts of people with them.. its difficult to estimate the number of people who die by automatic weapons every years globally. Then we have guns, also only a few hundred years, and I am not talking revolvers since they killed mass amounts of people as well.

Then, we have had nuclear weapons for around 60 years, they have been used once. When will nuclear holocaust arrive? 60 years, that is not much, its pretty amazing that nuclear holocaust didnt happen yet, but it will, its just a matter of time and severity.

Nuclear weapons are about to be tradable goods on the black market, certainly as mass technology advance, individual or group technology advance as well, its just a matter of time until the bad bad thing happens.

60 years, think about it, we were close many times. What about the next 100 years? Do you not think terrorists will be able to make such bombs?


Ohh, maybe I should mention the tanks, they were invented and soon after killed of huge amounts of people in two wars.


I am not saying Einstein was totally responsible for putting human destruction(timer/detonator of human extinction) in human hands, but the fact that he was willing to and helping to do that makes him a complete retard.

Ok, I remember this story. As far as I know, he spent maybe 20 minutes of his lifetime promoting nuclear weapons by signing letters, he did not work in this program. I remember to have read one of these letters, it was about evidence that Germany had a nuclear weapons program (which was true) and that the US should be prepared about it. Mr. Einstein later regretted to have signed this letter an made sure, he did not want someone to have this weapons. He said he was not a co-author of this letter, but this can be doubted.

Actually, when I was in Bern and they had his pictures there because of the Einstein year not along ago, I was thinking, what are they doing there, how can they honor this person?
