Confirmed miracles?

It has been alleged that miracles have happened and been confirmed. This is their claim.
They offer this book as proof ( or rather this 2 volume set)

Miracles: The Credibility of the New Testament Accounts (2 Volume Set): Craig S. Keener: 9780801039522: Amazon.com: Books

It is not reasonable to expect every skeptic of the above claim to buy the books.
I challenge those who feel this book is the truth ( you know who you are) to pick the best example from the book and provide it here for discussion and debate.

Things to think about:
If a hindu, a christian and a zoroastrian, all Patriots fans, were praying for a Superbowl miracle win, which god came through? How can you tell?

You can tell by the most skilled team winning. Nothing to do with any imaginary gods.

Along the lines of, 'The more I practice, the luckier I get'.
 
There are no miracles, especially ones that can directly be linked to certain gods. I find the arrogance and self-centeredness of christians beyond comprehension that they think their god ignored the prayers of 6 million Jews as they were being murdered, but that same god will answer the prayers about their piddly ass problems.

The holocaust was ended by men with guns taking justice into their own hands, not wishful thinking and praying. It's the same reason (most) people bring their sick or injured kids to a doctor instead of trying to pray it away.

When they pray for the Superbowl or any sports or pray for gimme gimme gimme then they are just using magic and not miracles.

Of course they call it a miracle but is is just the old superstitious call for magic going onward.

My view is that we see God on D-Day and we see God in the Allies against the Nazis because God is very realistic and not magical.

The births of your children didn't defy logic or scientific explanation but, don't you consider them a miracle?

If you want to define miracle as really magnificent things happening that make us happy, sure, miracles happen all the time. If you want to define it as god meddling in human affairs and changing the laws of physics or biology to answer prayers, then no, there is no evidence to support that.

Do you believe god answers your prayers?

It's a miracle these threads continue. On one hand we have the bashing of belief in God, and on the other the defense of belief. One would think a single thread would've been sufficient. If there's a hidden dynamic here, I must've missed it.

Could you be more specific as to how the OP is god bashing?

The OP is asking for the best miracle from a book about 'confirmed miracles' so it can be discussed and debated.

Yes I do. but, for things that really matter like someone's health, keeping someone safe or giving a person guidance to work through a situation in their lives.

I don't waste prayers on some stupid crap like sports.
 
How does one confirm a miracle? The Catholic church requires one for beatification, but they just make one up. The Miracle Of The Herrings is a particulary amusing one. The Vatican is trying to fast track Mother Teresa for beatification but they haven't made up any miracles yet.

No confirmed miracles have been forthcoming yet. You'd think that somebody would save us the trouble and tediouseness of reading the book but alas no.
