Maybe when Trump gets in office we can bring back Fort Bragg and others?

Why on earth do people want to commemorate one of the stupidest blunders in history? The Confederate States of America was formed in 1861 and the one and only thing they did was embark on a war that got them obliterated. Was there ever a dumber mistake? It's like the founders of the country sat around a table and said, "How can we royally **** this up? What's the stupidest thing we could do?"
And now a bunch of their intellectual equals want to memorialize those idiots.

I've got a Charlie Daniels album with a song that says, "Be proud you're a rebel cuz the souths gonna do it again!" and I wonder what they ever did that should be repeated. Or that anyone could be proud of.
 
I believe that is game, set, and match on Republicans under Trump embracing roots of racism by today championing the idea of bringing back Confederate names. To the delight of his enablers and supporters.

In the end that's what it's all about, the slavery thing and how the issue pisses people off. God knows those Confederates didn't accomplish anything worth commemorating unless it's worth erecting memorials to total, abject failure and about the stupidest blunder in history.

Then in the name of fairness should we rename the US Army 1st Calvary Division? The Calvary slaughtered how many Indians?

Should we remove President William Henry Harrison statue in Ohio? They tried, but ran into some hurdles. Indications are its still there.

How about the one in Washington DC?

He was CIC during the Indian Slaughters and was a slave holder.

How about naming schools after the idiots who committed the stupidest blunder in history? Do you know of any dumber thing anyone ever did than what those Confederate idiots did?
