All symbols of the Confederacy are rapidly disappearing from stores, websites and the public square in the wake of last week's racially charged shooting in a Charleston, S.C., church, but the purge of some allegedly hateful icons has spared memorabilia linked to some of history's most infamous mass murderers, some critics are charging.
Amazon.com has now banned all Confederate battle flag items from being sold on its site, but the massive e-commerce site continues to allow the sale of dozens of apparel items featuring communist mass murderers such as Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin and Che Guevara, prompting some to accuse the site and others banning Confederate imagery of hypocrisy.

So....anyway care to defend Amazon.com and it's support for murderous commies?
No, let's just celebrate the fact that everybody is voluntarily rejecting this symbol of racism and treason.
It is a rebel flag.
The rebels were racists and traitors.

It's a marketing craze right now, I wouldn't be too upset over it. Amazon is still selling WWII German uniforms and officer's hats etc. It'll all go away with time.
The Confederate Flag fight has been strictly symbolic, but that doesn't negate it. We have to come to terms with country's racist past, including racist symbolism. Read more at Why Symbols Matter | Sam Hillestad

So it bans anything related to the Confederacy, yet has no problem selling replicas of uniforms from a dictatorship that tried to, among other things, annihilate an entire ethnic group
:doh Such a ridiculous and loaded demand. There were likely SS infantrymen who themselves were not anti-semitic, but the goals they advanced certainly were. Similarly, the leaders of the Confederacy and its individual states swore to fight for the subjugation of blacks and the US government, individual exceptions notwithstanding. Insisting that one prove such a thing is just transparent apologism. So tired of hearing this. Prove that they were traitors and that all of them were racist. Show me one single court case of someone convicted for treason that served under that flag. Prove that every single person that fought under that flag was racist.
No, it was the only flag that represented the faction that fought and died attempting to perpetuate the institution of slavery. If I had a nickel for everytime I've seen this phony, half-ass argument I'd be posting from a Yacht.Μολὼν λαβέ;1064770013 said:So you think the only flag that flew over legalized slavery in the USA is the Confederate flag?

Bad analogy since SS infantrymen where never declared traitors. lso there were several leaders of those infantrymen who WERE prosecuted for war crimes but not the infantrymen unless they really did something horrible. Can you even do that much in regards to the Confederates?
In any case no, they were not traitors. Anyone that thinks that they were does not understand US history nor what the term "traitor" means.
a person who is not loyal to his or her own country, friends, etc.
