Come home with honor?

We also know, which is the reason I make such a big deal out of these incidents, is that the US is held to a higher moral code than other nations and I feel we are duty bound to honor that code by our actions. I am completely against this occupation, but do realize that our troops have to be allowed to defend themselves, no matter what situation our stupid leaders (that we put in office) put them in. With that being said, I also believe that 90% of our troops do their jobs in a professional matter and do care about human rights and international law. My beef is with the Dick Cheney's of the world, not Joe the Soldier.

Thanks for saying that, Billo. I think we can still find a buttload of things to disagree about concerning the war, but at least for now we can agree that the troops aren't the bad guys.

I'm sure you know better than I the reduced requirements recruiting has had to deal with. I think it's so bad, we are even starting to take in people from Texas.

:lamo Texas? I think about half the Marine Corps is from Texas.

Travis, Eva Longoria, Dennis Quaid, Irene Ryan, Wilburn Snyder, Forest Whitaker, Owen Wilson, Eric Dickerson, Ross Perot, Darrell Abbott, Edie Brickell, Albert Collins, Sandra Bullock, Steve Earle, Buddy Holly, George Forman, Janis Joplin, Norah Jones, Johnny Horton, Roger Miller, Beyonce Knowles, Buddy Miles, Willie Nelson, Roy Orbison, Charley Pride, Selena Quintanilla, Emily Robison (Dixie Chicks), A.J. Foyt, Don Merideth, Lee Travino, Howard Hughes, Larry McMurtry, Brad Sham, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow just to name a few.

You forgot ZZ Top!

So Billo, while you've reassured us that you, like most Americans, don't hold any hard feelings against the troops, I'm still not sure what you think about the helicopter crew in the video. Can it be proven that they "murdered" the belligerents considering what we've discussed about ROE?

I will grant you that I can't prove it wasn't murder based on the video alone. For all we know those men were uniformed local policemen. And we come back to what I've been harping on - we simply don't know.

Until he makes his next attack.

See he works like the daily kooks website...

bashes troops, calls them murderers, then when confronting him, he changes it to be "not all troops" all while meaning just that, all troops.

He does not need proof when he has baseless accusations. :2wave:

Show me any post, any post at all, where I've said "all" troops.

Go ahead, I'll wait...

It is clear in my mind that the soldier who pulled the trigger and the commander that gave him the order and the White House that proliferated not following army regs should be tried for war crimes.

Okay, you're right. In the sense that all these killings are being done in our names, yes we all are murderers. Every single American in the United States and abroad, are murderers. I am, you are and every single American troop is. With this in mind, you are right.

Of course I am right.

you without any proof call your countrymen murders, call troops murderers...

btw are the found innocent haditha marines still murderes in your eyes?

I showed my proof in Post #73. The fact that you don't care for that proof, does not mean it wasn't shown on my part.

Your "proof" is moronic.

Not only were these Marines found not guilty, several were found innocent.

so much for the rule of law when you attack innocent marines.

is this some of the crap you expect conservatives to rally behind?

That is quite alright.

This is America, you have every right to your opinion.

You mean from the "banana court" that tried them?

They are not innocent. 24 Iraqi men, women and children are still dead. Who killed them? Who killed the 3 year old boy shot in the chest at close range?

Is this you trying to derail the topic of this thread because you have no valid argument?

another example of you smearing the troops for your politics.

nuff said.

Don't be so hard on yourself!

As soon as you regain your patriotism, you will be welcomed back into the family of American's.

"i know you are but what am I" is quite the puerile response.

Reading both our posts, there is little doubt the contempt you hold the troops and this country.

you fool no one.
