The article is mostly speculative, but nonetheless fascinating. Although Lieberman is unlikely to give up his Senate seat at this time, the GOP could make it worth his while. Lieberman, once a very interested candidate for UN Ambassador, could be possibly enticed into taking the job. The fallout from that would be all good for the GOP, as the stinging defeat of Bolton could be turned into a political victory, and as an added bonus, the Republican governor of Connecticut would then appoint a Republican to fill the vacancy, thus giving Republicans control of the Senate once again.

Again, this is based pretty much on speculation, but there is meat to the rumors, and is going to be a very interesting possibility to follow. Who here thinks Bush will dangle the carrot?
