Coal Ash Spills Too Dangerous to Reveal to Public, says DHS
Coal Ash Spills Too Dangerous To Reveal To Public, Says DHS (VIDEO)

Seems like now days (at least in America) the word terrorism = we do what we want our way.

The actual location of these waste piles can't be a secret, they are too large, and there are too many employees.
But it is a good idea to keep the topic out of the news as much as possible.
God forbid people find out how polluting coal really is at all stages. From mining to processing to burning to disposal of ash, it is a messy fuel.
But, if we want to have electricity, we have to accept the mess....for now.

Because Ms. Boxer is prone to... exaggeration.

And again, how is this her fault?

Removing Ms. Boxer from the issue and we still have terrorism being cited as a reason to not inform people of toxic materials that may be near their workplaces and residences.

Try not to get caught up in your hypocritical Democrat hating for a change and look at the subject.

Sounds like a pretty stupid practice by DHS, regardless of whether Boxer is exaggerating.

I'm NOT YOU FREAKING TROLL.

We have one source, Barbara Boxer. One source making wild claims. If this dumb **** told me tomorrow the sun was gonna rise in the east I'd wait for a second source.

It has nothing to do with her being a Democrat and everything to do with her being one of the most worthless piles of slime in public service.

So if she's the source about Coal Ash excuse me for not bothering to be impressed by anything she has to say on the issue.

I agree that they aren't secret, but it's far from public knowledge. I'd guess that public disclosure would be a modern Love Canal

When I worked in a Refinery if you where to be making plots of refinery areas and trading them with other companies or making them public you would be fired in a heart beat.

what do you mean by plots? what are plots?

I worked at a nuclear research facility and could draw most of the systems from memory. I would hope that the employees at a refinery could do the same. You can't safely operate what you don't know much about...

Just even layouts of where all their vessels and pontoons and storage tanks our. Our any of their procedures. Anything that they own really. You need a permit to take pictures inside even.

Huh. Let's see. dirtpoorchris, me, RightInNYC, UtahBill and Kernel Sanders all talking about the issue of keeping the locations secret.

And you are the only one blaming her.

Tell me, how are you not doing exactly what I said?

It's this kind of behavior that gets you labeled rightly as a hyperpartisan hack.

And Mr. V fails:

Locations of high-risk coal ash sites kept secret - Yahoo! News

dirtpoorchris does seem to be on the money that terrorism = we can do whatever the hell we want.

I didn't blame her for anything. I just don't trust ANYTHING B. Boxer has to say. You fail, as usual, to get the obvious.

I didn't blame her for anything.

In this case, just writ this off to being Barbara Boxer opening her fool mouth.

Because Ms. Boxer is prone to... exaggeration.

Huh. I asked you how it was her fault and you said that. Not blaming her for anything? Really. So why didn't you say when asked how it was her fault "It's not her fault?"

I just don't trust ANYTHING B. Boxer has to say. You fail, as usual, to get the obvious.

Interestingly coming from someone who failed to understand the actual point of the thread.

Btw, ever going to give me an answer as to why short term performance as a measure of pay is better than long term? I suspect not.

I don't blame this on the Boxer. Although I always sensed a bit of evil in her in my karma radar. She looks a little creepy. But I think that these locations need to be released so that the appropriate powers that be may be protested against until the good will of citizens turn it around. They don't need to sit around until some Cheney affiliates, branches of some secret societies, or some allied or offensive sappers to our country take them out and drop our standing to a 3rd world country.

I don't blame this on the Boxer.

And we shouldn't.

We should be blaming DHS and the Corps for their use of terrorism to hide from the American public information on potentially toxic sites near their residences and workplaces.

Terrorism cannot be allowed to be, as you say, codeword of "we do whatever we want."

We don't need another Love Canal mess in America.

OC, if you think I am BLAMING Boxer for this, you... really need to look into some medication. I didn't. I have dismissed her concerns because she is a worthless pile of lying crap.

But....can't good images be found on Google.Earth? Hmmmm? I can see my sailboat on those images, even my neighbor's little Boston Whaler, too.

Seroiusly, MrV, I think you're opening yourself up to a lawsuit, and there's lots of piles of crap out there willing to sign up with a lawyer, if the crap can handle the stench of him...

So what you're really saying is that corporate America will keep us safe from the evils of coal ash, but we'd better not let the Niagra Falls Board of Education condemn that land under eminent domain to build a school on and subdivide for housing lots.

ooops....google earth is going to have to be censored for the safety of the country....:2razz:

Would you like a side of fries to go with the foot you just put in your mouth?
:spank:

You fail, as usual, to remember what you said 1 page earlier.
:laughat:MrVicchio, you're funny.
