IIRC, that’s about the same as his April 2 (“Liberation Day”) numbers for Japan and South Korea.

Doing (or at least saying) the same thing over and over, while anticipating a different result. ;)

The question is, what will he get out of Japan & Korea?

So far he's gotten a golf course and a jet, but it's been 6 months. Obviously, he needs to step things up a bit.

That was my thought, exactly.

Last time, when Japan threatened to unload our debt, it crashed our bonds - causing Trump to TACO.

Trump knows this, and is informed of this. It seems he wants this, and is daring them on.

Last time Japan threated to dump our debt, essential crashing our bond market, causing Trump to TACO.

It seems to me Trump is still smarting, and looking for a rematch.

He is absolutely begging for some sort of win. So bloody pathetic. A whole month gives Trump lots of TACO time as the markets crash again.
