A few weeks ago, I made a post about this movie. It is now hitting the big screen, with a debut in Toronto in September, and now is running in the US in 100 theaters. It actually opened in some theaters last Friday. CNN has refused to run the ad for the movie. Good for them.

The movie's message is one of non-violence, but to depict the assassination of a sitting president is beyond the pale. Sure, its free speech alright, but damn, is it ever tacky.

Article is here.

But they will run a video for terrorists, one that shows soldiers being assassinated.......these people don't have a f**king clue!

This is good news for those of us who don't believe in the "CNN is an Exclusively Liberal News Outlet" theory.

and BTW: This was a shitty idea for a movie.

Yes, they and many other news outlets.......

Whats your point?

Seen it on More4 over here. Its okay, nothing earth shattering. Well made, believable actors and not too many holes in the plot. A bit boring though if you ask me.

Yeah I've already seen it weeks ago. Every interesting, especially the aftermath of George W Bush's death. Its a work of fiction people, calm down. Very well done as well, good acting, no bias, in fact rather pro-Bush rather than anti.

but some DP posters have said CNN and NPR are just anti-Bush and would just jump at this opportunity for their leftist agenda. hmmm. Guess not.

that shouldnt be nearly as funny as it is.

 Amazing - CNN will air a REAL SNUFF FILM showing our troops being assasinated in Iraq by Terrorists but refuses to show the ads for a FAKE snuff film about the assassination of our President!

:rofl

REAL SNUFF FILM showing our troops being assasinated in Iraq by Terrorists

I don't watch CNN for more than a minute so I need to know the details of this snuff film--when, where, when showed, etc. Come to think of it, why does FOX show the 911 snuff film of the planes into the building? Why show dead Americans assasinated by Terrorists?

CNN received a tape from terrorists in Iraq. The tape was made by a journalist who was with the group, filming their activities. The tape followed the terrorist snipers stalking 10 seperate American soldiers, the journalist translating their conversation as they planned, joked about the up-coming kill, and then showed these terrorists kill our soldiers.

The details of how CNN got the tape is unclear, whether they paid for it or what. CNN then showed it several times, proudly proclaiming that this terrorist propoganda SNUFF Film was a 'CNN Exclussive'!

Several congressmen are calling for an investigation into how CNN got the tape. If they paid for it, they want CNN sharged with treasonous activities during a time of war, funding the assassination/murder of our troops by paying the terrorists for the tape, and then broadcasting enemy propoganda. Don't know if it will happen, but I would pay to see THAT happen!

So I am shocked, however, that CNN would exploit our soldiers' deaths for their agenda and ratings, aiding and abetting the terrorists who are killing our troops by running their propoganda cr@p, yet refuse to show ads for a FAKE movie about the death of our President.

Its amazing that aiding and abetting the enemy is the same as showing the truths in Iraq.

Would you guys prefer to live in the dark and get no news from Iraq whatsoever. I guess ignorance is bliss.

Let's talk about 'Truth' for a second, Garza -

Where is the footage of all the new hospitals being built?

Where is the footage of all the new schools being built?

Where is the footage of all the infrastrcture, medical facilities, supplies, sports equipment, the soldiers walking through towns being approached by Iraqis who want to shake their hands and thank them (It's happening - been there and going back again soon), where are the scenes of kids running up to the convoys cheering as the soldiers throw out candy (which we had to stop because the Iranians began using IEDs against the convoys which were killing kids running up for candy)....

WHERE is the REAL Truth about what is going on in Iraq, Garza?

Don't give me this liberal excuse BS for CNN refusing to air the REAL truth about the whole picture of what is going on over there because it doesn't fit their agenda yet promoting/running terrorist propoganda SNUFF Films of these same terrorists killing our soldiers!

This is the same news agency who so UN-professionally and blatantly biasedly ran a flashing 'X' over the Vice President of the United States' face during one of his speeches! CNN has become the U.S. District Office for Al Jazeera! THAT is a 'TRUTH' America should understand!

There once was descency in this country, where flag-draped coffins coming home from war were NOT allowed to be seen. We all knew it was happening and didn't need to see it - did not show it out of respect for these soldiers.....until this BS partisan political movement that has engulfed both parties, where nothing is taboo any more, nothing is sacred, and nothing is off limits.

Descency and respect were thrown under the bus for the opportunity to score a hit on your political opponent. I guess the next logical, yet immoral and IN-descent, step from showing flag-draped coffins of our soldiers for the Liberals and CNN was to show terrorist propoganda SNUFF flms showing the actual murder of our soldiers, exploiting their deaths for a political agenda and ratings!

Also, we all know that rape is horrible. We know child molestation is horrible. CNN said they felt they had to air this footage to show the 'reality' of war. So when are they going to have reporters follow rapists and child molesters around, film their heinous crimes, then show all of America the 'Truth' and the 'Reality' of what THESE acts are like?! Just like rape and child molestation, we already know war is bad, people get killed, and soldiers die in pretty horrible ways - we don't need to exploit their deaths by showing it on national TV for some agenda or for ratings! War is not a spectator sport! War isn't a reality TV show like 'Survivor'! And the news is not a place to air terrorist propoganda. If you want to get an idea of what war is like, go rent 'Saving Private Ryan'. If that don't sate 'your' semi-sick curiosity/need-to-know, then you need help!

You wanna talk to me about TRUTH, Garza, then you give me a media that SHOWS the REAL Truth about Iraq, the good and the bad, even if it does not fit their own agenda! Until then, your argument holds NO water!

CNN or FOX--not one of them can claim unbiased, agenda free reporting. An example I sent to (emailed) FOX numerous times:

There is no way to save America from moral and spiritual destruction - which will lead to physical destruction - unless right-wing righteous Gentiles are prepared to lead a massive civil disobedience revolt against the traitors destroying this once great nation.

This statement wasn't said outside the USA, wasn't said by any Muslims or some Christian sect--it was said by the Jewish Task Force and no where is this being reported in any media outlets--CNN or FOX. Promoting an overthrow of this Govt? That's treason and the FBI should be rounding these guys up and the Media all over it.

statement from: http://www.jtf.org/america/america.french.muslim.riots.one.htm

I never said Fox or any of the other media were not biased.....but I don't see any of those other media brazenly wielding their bias-ness so opennly through such actions as flashing an 'X' over the Vice President of the United States' face during one of his speeches or airing terrorist propoganda SNUFF Films of them killing our troops in order to push an agenda and to try to get a ratings boost through exploiting those soldiers' deaths, either!

On the other side, I don't see CNN mislabelling candidates to opposite parties either. Go figure.

This could actually be a mistake, one that amounted to almost nothing. CNN's disrespect of the VP was only unprofessional for a media that prides itself on being un-biased, eroding/destrying its credibility! Exploiting the murder of our soldiers by terrorists, running their propoganda, to push their political agenda and gain ratings was in-descent, deplorable, and borderline treasonous - at the very least, an extreme lapse in judgement!

(But we are not talking about any other media in this thread - we are speaking directly about CNN. Funny how the Dems like to accuse the GOP of changing the subject when discussing topics THEY want to talk about but will not hesitate to try to divert the conversation another way in a heartbeat when the discussion is something they DON'T want to talk about!)

They have had a lot of problems getting the camera crews out to the sites to film the new hospitals and schools before insurgents blew them up.

Uh - NO! The schools and hospitals are still standing. Nice attempt at a diversion, but it doesn't even come close to the real answer/FACT of why CNN doesn't report any of the good news coming out of Iraq -- it doesn't fit into CNN's agenda!

Wait, one's a mistake the other one is done on purpose? Oh, ok, I get it. Wink wink, say no more.

Really? Now, I may have my reading skills set a little bit higher, but it seems that NPR is listed in the SUBJECT LINE of this thread. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, of course.

I'm not a democrat. But if you feel like you have to play the partisan card to weasel out of a debate, I guess that's all I'll expect of you in the future too.

They report good news, when there is good news. The nation is in a state of Civil War, it is stupid to do a lot of reporting on Hospitals being built, when those hospitals are being filled with dozens if not hundreds of Iraqi civilians dying every day as a result of sectarian violence. You can't polish a turd you know.

Its like telling your wife: "Our Children were all diagnosed with terminal leukemia today, but I painted the bedroom."
