“Just horrible across the board,” Enten wrote on X, formerly Twitter, about new polling released Wednesday by Quinnipiac University, which shows President Donald Trump spectacularly slumping on multiple key issues.

Among the 1,265 registered voters that the university polled nationwide, some 54% disapproved of Trump’s handling of his role as POTUS, and 53% expressed an unfavorable opinion of him.

Well, Trump sits around and watches TV all day so sometimes things like this affect him (specifically if it's on Fox).

He has no real convictions. He just likes stuff that will make him more money or give him more power and he definitely knows how to play the suckers.

A blind monkey can beat Trump, the problem is there are no blind monkey availiable.

Trump doesn't care about polls at this point. He knows he's not running again.

He doesn't care about the future of the GOP, either.
Nor even about the future of this country. As a native New Yorker, I have witnessed for more than 5 decades how Trump really doesn't give a **** about anyone but himself - full stop. Because of his interminable lies and flip-flops, people characterize Trump as "unpredictable", ... but he is anything but. He is 100% predictable. If he sees personal profit, personal power or political gain in some direction, that is the one he is bound to take. Period. No exceptions. Nothing that he undertakes will ever deliberately reduce his own power and wealth, no matter how important that might be for the nation or the world.

I burst out laughing again this morning watching replays of Trump saying we need illegal immigrants ... for farm labor and the "hospitality workers". I couldn't help but recall all of my recent arguments with the ****ing idiots here on DP who kept insisting that we did not need them, and they should all be deported. Well, that's not what your golden idol says anymore, is it? Suddenly his indiscriminate and ham-handed expulsion of the undocumented is no longer required. Someone in the criminal Trump Organization must have shown him how much more it costs him to no longer use illegals for maids in his hotels - which we all know he had plenty of, even at Mar-A-Lardo, way back when he began his political pogrom against immigration back in 2014-15. When it comes to moving his personal balance sheet in the right direction, Trump is 100% predictable.

That's not awful, especially considering the source.

Why are you trying to inflate it as a problem?

Posting about poll results are inflating it as a problem?

The problem is that it will make it harder for Republicans in Congress to repeat his lies and support his nonsense. The poll isn't our problem, his waning influence is his problem.

Should we go over to the other cnn polling video where they are "forced to admit" trump had a 40% positive swing..

Or we just gonna do this nonsense In this thread all day

Calling a mediocre poll a problem is the issue.

It's also an outlier.

Bull:poop:

That's unchanged.

You should seek additional sources.

Are you?

There's more red than black. 13 to 3. I wouldn't count Rasmussen to announce results, unless they're doing polls for Putin. So toss Rassi polls and his average under water is greater than 3.2

Toss the totally biased and irresponsible Rassi polls, which never reveals their methods or practices and that makes Quinnipiac the most recent.

Does that make it an outlier?

( CNN and the rest provide the methodology, without a paywall)

Great news that the Republicans in Congress will forge on with repeating all his lies and supporting all his total flaming BS! Yeah team!!

Polling by who, and who did they poll. No matter what you think about Trump, the democrats are much further in the toilet on every issue. Democrats need new leaders, new policies, new strategies. Stop the hate, racism, and fear mongering.

I guess we'll see at the midterms.
Stop the hate, racism, and fear mongering.
Why? Trump is the Emperor of hate, racism and fear mongering.

I saw this poll yesterday. No kidding about the outlier part. In fact, it is the one and only poll within RCP's entire list of polls since inauguration day (in almost 5 months), with an approval rating in the 30s.

And this is not at a time when Trump's numbers have been trending down in his average, as they did from mid-April to mid-May. This last month has been a good and stable month of polling for Trump. While Trump's numbers have historically been lower than his predecessors, this has been a time period when Trump's numbers have been higher than Obama's and GW's were at the same time in their second terms.

We'll have to wait to see if this one outlier poll is the beginning of a lower trend but, as yet, there is absolutely no indication of it being anything other than a single and (a standout in that manner) outlier.

Picking the ones you prefer is like picking cherries from a tree.

That's why they call what you are doing cherry picking.

Does that make it an outlier?
The fact that it's eight points away from any other RV or LV poll makes it an outlier.

The Rasmussen poll that you don't like is a likely voter poll.

Great news that the Republicans in Congress will forge on with repeating all his lies and supporting all his total flaming BS! Yeah team!! /S
If that happens, I'll congratulate you.

This tells me nothing
The poll in question is eight points different from similar polls, see above.

No i have principles

No doubt, Dem polling on issues should be of notice and concern to them. On several issues where they tout Trump is polling badly, they are polling worse - and in some cases, much worse.

It's the most recent. That's why it's not an outlier. Rasmussen won't reveal its methodology. That means they're lying for Trump and only the faithful trust them .

You didn't mention the trend of 13 to 3, red is more than black.

Indeed, Rasmussen is notoriously biased toward the right. They still had Romney ahead the day before he lost the election.

Another disastrous poll out. The AP NORC poll has him at 39 percent approval.
