Climate Change Obsession Is a Real Mental Disorder

Global. This is global average daily temps.

Yeah, the southern hemisphere is winter. Clearly not cold enough to lower the global daily temp bellow 2022 levels though.

It has nothing to do with asymmetrical warming.

Lets check in with the ocean global temps and see if they are any better?

Nope, lol.
Ask yourself, what has changed a lot since March of 2023, not the CO2 level,
but TSI is going up, and an El Nino is forming, all while the skies are clearer than they have been since about 1950.

I would say that people that mindlessly buy into the climate change rheotric should watch this...but I have no delusions about their capacity for reason. No better zealot than a fully engaged and deliberate zealot.

Cause you are smarter than the majority of scientists in the world. Gotcha
Lets assume that for a second you buy into it...and I dont. Maybe YOU can answer this...no one else has....

How are YOU saving the planet? What makes you think that by buying into the simple minded shit that you keep getting spoon fed by the climate alarmists ( the same kind of shit you have been lied to about since the 60s BTW) that you are somehow a climate warrior doing the FIRST ****ing thing that is better or different than people that see the scamming ****s for what they are?

Do you still use fossil fuels for energy? Do you buy things produced by fossil materials (any synthetic goods)? What makes you think your life and lifestyle is in any way ecologically superior to people that havent followed along like a bunch of mindless sheep being led around by people believing you are stupid enough to swallow everything you have been told to swallow?

So if they become more educated, they'd discover what exactly? That there's not enough data? That the media can't be trusted to report on climate change? The science is good but the media is bad? I still can't tell if you believe climate change is even real or not. Do you?
Human activity can change the climate (and the climate also changes on it's own).
The media are mostly reporting on the extreme high end of the scientific studies, without much mention
about the lower end, or the uncertainty.
Here is a good example.
Global sea levels will rise by 4.6 FEET by 2150 if temperatures continue to rise at the current pace, study warns
Notice the certainty in words like WILL rise?
Here is the cited study.
Future sea-level projections with a coupled atmosphere-ocean-ice-sheet model
Following the Shared Socioeconomic Pathway (SSP) 1-1.9, 2-4.5, 5-8.5 emission scenarios, the model simulations ice-sheet contributions to global sea-level rise by 2150 of 0.2 ± 0.01, 0.5 ± 0.01 and 1.4 ± 0.1 m, respectively.
The study has a range from 0.2M to 1.4M by 2050, while the article states a certainty of a 4.6 foot sea level rise by 2050.

The fossil fuel industry has known exactly what their role in AGW is, and just how catastrophic it will become, for a very long time. How did they know?
Because they hired their own scientists to study it decades ago!

Their conclusion? Distort the truth beyond all recognition, because if the consuming public were really informed of the truth, without equivocation, it would threaten their obscene profits.

I spend zero time worrying about this. I drive when and wherever I want and use as much energy as I need. So does pretty much everyone else.

I knew that some took it more seriously, but apparently it's a mental disorder for some.

Climate Change Obsession Is a Real Mental Disorder

I think climate change is real and we need to get off fossil fuels.

I spend 0% of my day worrying about it.

WUT?

How does one demand someone else have a mental illness?

"I demand thee! Be thou mentally ill ?"

Do you contend that people who believe climate change are mentally ill?

I'm not "demanding" that anyone has a mental illness. I don't even know what that means.

The first step is admitting you have a problem.
So you believe, as stated in the opinion piece you posted, that those who believe in climate change have a mental illness, right?

Either way, you're going to be buying waders. Are you saying there's not enough evidence to determine that climate change is a problem? Or that climate change is real, but there's not enough evidence to say how bad things will be?

So you need to do something, but don't?

You don't find that a little hypocritical? Or at least a little insincere?

An opinion piece

I, for one, think it's very nice of you to just run right out into the street and humiliate yourself in front of everyone. Very few people would be willing to wallow in their shame for the amusement of the rest of the board in such a fashion. I salute you.

So you need to do something, but don't?

I vote with climate change in mind. As far as making a difference, that's about the most i can do.

For the record, i am a hypocrite on most things, it doesn't bother me. You won't find me calling other people hypocrites about anything other than calling people hypocrites. Everyone is a hypocrite, so calling people a hypocrite like it is some sort of gotcha, is worth calling out. So i only call out meta hypocrites.

Whay would you think that I will need waders.
The global sea level is raising about 3 mm per year.
Nasa Seems to think that is accelerating and will hit 6.6 mm per year by 2050,
for a total increase of about 7.5 inches (0.2M).
NASA Uses 30-Year Satellite Record to Track and Project Rising Seas
but that is at the bottom of the range in the study, and includes the acceleration.

There is genuine progress being made worldwide on slowing/reducing emissions of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases. It does not seem like it. It's not all too visible given that the changes are occurring over multiple year spans. Nor is it all too visible given that changes are happening at varying rates across different countries, industries and applications. However the outlook we had in 2000 is certainly not the same outlook we have in 2023.

This is a perfect example of the mindset of the leftists that mindlessly buy into the climate change argument.

I appreciate the candor. But there's voting with climate change in mind and there's voting with climate change in mind. If a candidate ran on banning the internal combustion engine tomorrow without a viable alternative, I'm presuming you wouldn't go that far.

Maybe it's just where each person wants to draw the line.

Again, really appreciate the candor. Everyone lies at one time or another, even if only to themselves.

I have never met a single person like that in real life.

Neither have you.

To the contrary...she EMBODIES the typical climate change leftist that constantly bleats on with emotional appeals and anger and gets shrill and bitter and has no answers any time she is questioned for factual responses.

Nah, that's the boogeyman the right wing freaks created to justify their own poor behavior.

I'm not "demanding" that they have a mental illness.

What does that even mean?
So you are stuck on the word "demand"?
It means that you believe folks who believe in climate change have a mental illness.
What a moronic opinion.

Do you take mental health advice (or medical advice) from any other folks with a bachelors in American Studies?

Or is Finley a special case?

So you are stuck on the word "demand"?
It means that you believe folks who believe in climate change have a mental illness.
What a moronic opinion.
If I'm a moron, how come I know what "demand" means while you don't? If you meant to say "believe", why didn't you say that? Words have actual meanings.

More moronic opinions from you - I don't believe people who believe in climate change have a mental illness. I believe some people take their belief in climate change to unhealthy levels and create mental health issues in themselves. I'm not alone in this. The WHO agrees with me.

Lose the sniffy outrage. If you can't grasp what is being discussed and can't articulate your own thoughts coherently, that's entirely your problem.
