Well, I don't mind it if folks want to accuse Biden of hypocrisy on statements he made on the subject. I don't even have a problem with the DOJ looking into it at the insistence of the GOP in the House. But here's the thing that I want the right to acknowledge....

Thus far, Biden handled in a far superior manner than Trump did.

Biden's folks found these documents and immediately reported it to those who needed to know. The number of documents is a dozen, give or take, and that is it. And they were returned the very next day. There is full cooperation on this manner.

Trump kept dozens of such documents. He claimed they were his. He made the weird claim on how he declassified them. He and his lawyers may have illegally obstructed the investigation. Trump had been asked for the documents and did not hand them over...causing a raid at Mar a Largo and resulting in his being investigated (honestly, he only has himself to blame for all of this).

And if you all insist that Biden be impeached, removed from office and press criminal charges against him....then understand that you are setting up a precedent for Trump to get criminally indicted as well.

My understanding it wasn't only classified documents but also included boxes of documents that haven't been turned over to the archives as required by law.

1) As the current Commander-in-Chief, Biden now has the power to retroactively declassify any of those dozen documents left in his private office at the Penn Biden Center prior to his Inauguration on January 20th 2021!

2) Without any documentation that normally accompanies the declassification of federal files, including their corresponding dates, there is no evidence to actually support Trump's claim that he declassified all the government records in his possession - while still serving as President!

3) When it was Trump and his supporters who were attempting to reconcile the existence of top secret and classified documents found in those 48 boxes in his possession, the argument was that as President, he had the authority to unilaterally declassify all these federal records documents with just a thought!

4) Presumably these "mental gymnastics" extended to the mass declassification of documents by the box-load, without even examining the contents - given that there is no evidence to suggest that the former President made actually made an attempt to go through those approximately 14,000 pages of government records, once they were in his possession!

5) Given that as President, Trump had already earned the reputation of being unwilling to devote the necessary time and effort required to read through his daily briefing notes, why would he suddenly develop a keen interest in examining the contents of any top secret and sensitive files interspersed in those 48 boxes of documents - all of which were later declassified?

1) Trump never informed anybody that he had illegally transported 48 boxes of government records to his private residence - returning 15 boxes to the National Archives after 12 months while his representatives claimed that he was not in possession of the 33 boxes the FBI retrieved after 19 months - on August 2nd 2022!

2) The last time I looked, lying to DOJ and the FBI are felonies - sentences of 5 years in prison!

3) According to "The Presidential Records Act" (1978), former President Trump left office with 48 boxes illegally in his possession - as a private citizen after January 20th 2021, that would provided him with -
- 12 additional months to retrieve his "personal things" from the 15 boxes returned to the National Archives in early 2022
- 19 months to search through those remaining 33 boxes that were eventually seized by the FBI on August 2nd 2022

4) What has yet to be revealed has been Trump's motivation for investing the time and effort of illegally transporting these 48 boxes tof records to Mar-a-Lago -
- as President, Trump was notorious for not reading his daily briefing notes
- it would been totally "out-of-character" for him to display any interest in reading through the approximately 14,000 pages of government documents illegally in his possession
- given that the White House Counsel and his Chief had briefed him on at least 2 separate occasions as to his responsibilities under "The Presidential Records Act," the illegal transport/storage of 48 boxes of government records at his private residence was as deliberate act of defiance
- if Trump had informed the FBI as "Paradoxical! asserts, what purpose did that serve other than feeding some "perverse" enjoyment of forcing DOJ into 19 months of futile negotiations over what was legally federal government property

5) If Biden had actually stolen less than a dozen government documents, for reasons unknown, how does that explain why they were allowed to remain locked in the closet of his private office at the Penn Biden Centre that he had vacated prior to becoming President, 22 months earlier?

6) Conventional logic would dictate that Biden could have found some excuse during almost 2 years as a pretext to return to "the-scene-of-the-crime" - his old office where he could retrieve the "incriminating" evidence!

7) It would have also have not been in President Biden's best interests to have knowingly allowed his personal lawyers to find these government documents while conducting "a final sweep" of his former private office - with the knowledge that Washington is a "sieve" when it comes to keeping political secrets, even an inadvertent mistake such as mislaying a few records would eventually become public knowledge!

8) With President Biden as their client, the personal lawyers who discovered these federal records from the Obama-Biden Administration in his prior private office at the "Penn Biden Centre" (2017-2020) would have already evaluated his legal and criminal culpability before contacting the National Archives and DOJ!

9) Apparently their legal advice for the President was to be upfront and forthright - the Archives received the documents within 24 hours of their discovery, devoid of attempts to -
- suppress the truth
- claim that Biden had declassified documents
- conduct 19 months of prolonged negotiations over document ownership

10) To minimize those inevitable accusations that the President was colluding with the DOJ in the Biden Administration, the Attorney General made the decision to conduct the investigation at "arms length" - selecting an US federal attorney from upper Illinois, a former Trump appointee, and positioned outside the Washington "beltway" of political influence!

Section 1924 makes it a crime to knowingly remove classified documents with the intent to retain them in an unauthorized location.

Section 2071 makes it a crime to willfully and unlawfully remove a government record with the intent to conceal or destroy it or to conceal or destroy such documents already in one’s custody.

Please notice and address the words "willfully" and "knowingly"

well lets put it this way,,, it is as big as the original watergate break in... Storing top secret documents for years in an unsecured place where who knows who could have seen them and gotten the information off of them, is big problem.

secondly they were there for YEARS. We need to know why that is the case.
