Classified documents from Biden's time as VP discovered in private office, source says

Under 12 so far.
Presidents can declare documents unclassified.
Vice Presidents have no such authority.

Again its not a big deal in either case. Secret documents rapidly degrade in their value. Any codes would be changed in a new administration. You all forgave Hillary for her utter lapse of security while she was still the Secretary of State. No one had to break in to get to her documents. Yet Comey claimed no reasonable prosecutor would pursue the case. No prosecutor would pass up the chance in Trumps case.

PALM BEACH (The Borowitz Report)—Donald J. Trump alleged that President Biden’s possession of classified documents from his Vice-Presidency is “way worse” than his own hoarding of top-secret materials at Mar-a-Lago because “Joe actually reads.”

“What would you rather have—classified documents in the hands of someone who reads, or someone who never reads?” Trump asked. “Hands down, the reader is way more dangerous.”

“The American people know that any documents are safe with me because I would never read even one word of them,” he said. “But Joe reads like a demon, and that’s what makes him so scary.”

We are taking the word of the POTUS as to whether or not he knew he possessed classified documents.

We don't know, and probably can't know, for certain if that is truly the case.
I'm sure there were other people involved, I doubt Biden just wandered off with some documents and forgot about them.

Although actually that would fit the narrative of him being senile or whatever horsepucky the right wing media is pushing lately.

Let's use an example. Friend leaves his wallet at your house.

Trump: What wallet? I looked and there's no wallet here. Here's an affidavit addressed to the grand jury investigating the missing wallet, demanding it's return if located, that says I looked everywhere - no wallet. Insiders see wallets everywhere, alert authorities. Police search house find 100 wallets not Trump's, including several in Trump's desk drawer.

Biden: Cleaning up office, finds the wallet, calls up the owner - hey, here's your wallet! I'll give to the police so they can get it back to you!

It's a mystery why the FBI might treat those actions differently.
If I steal your dog and my attorney gives it back to you 6 years from now should I be immune from prosecution because alls well that ends well?

They just keep proving it, over and over. Rules are not for them.
Garland is already looking into it...

Lol how can you get everything so wrong all the time?

whataboutism? is that all you have.

Thanks for not addressing the issue of Presidential vs Personal records.
Nah. It's just the irony of liberals who yawn at their side when they commit crimes such as the FBI thwarting free speech using Twitter, FaceBook, Media, and CISA (filled with very far leftists and attorneys) and the sheer hypocrisy of calling for criminal charges against Trump for what your guys have done. That's all. The double standard is truly a thing to behold.

I understand all the president has to do is imagine a document is unclassified, and that does the trick.

The DOJ will base their decision on the law and whether they can prove their case satisfactorily in court, not on some incorrectly and arbitrarily manufactured definition of fairness.
This DOJ is in bed with the Democrats big time and will do whatever they can get away with to ruin Trump, just like they have during his presidency.

By the way, GREAT sig line. (Paradoxical was right and I was wrong) Could you put it in 18 point bolded type?

I think you might be misinterpreting events, but I just realized I can't be bothered to unravel it.

Trump just said we should trust him because he's an idiot. He's your guy!!!

I'm thinking someone at the Federal Archives needs to lose their job.

Why?

They were discovered on November 2nd, the NARA notified, and the NARA took custody on November 3rd.

The NARA doesn't know what documents an administration has until such time as the administration ends and the documents - as required by law - are turned over to them.

Indeed, but if we’re stashing pilfered documents in closets it cannot be denied that exponentially more people have opportunity to access them at a university than at a private members only golf course protected by the Secret Service.
You can stop the ss lie. It's not even a thing

The DOJ was in bed with Democrats during the Trump administration? Well that's a special kind of crazy.

I was perfectly content to keep it til the 19th, but you're such an ungracious winner that I've removed it. Try to be more mature in the future.

LOL. You don’t think the Secret Service would react to somebody prowling around the residence of the FPOTUS?
Um....that was already happening and the ss wasn't guarding the room. That's not their job.

Why would he need approval from the fbi of he had clearance?

Again everything you state is wrong.
The documents date to his time as VP. He doesn’t have clearance to steal them and keep them in a University closet for 6 years.

The Secret Service protects people. They're not in charge of protecting documents.

Oh, ffs, what am I doing. Everything you say is stupid and wrong on purpose.
