Citing Obamacare, 40,000 Longshoremen Quit the AFL-CIO

Are you serious? did you count commas too? OMFG! how many times was "the" used?:lol::lamo

You're avoiding the point. Why is it that the reason for leaving the AFL-CIO is not mentioned a SINGLE time outside of those two sentences? Not even in reference? You're getting desperate to avoid the fact you never even read the letter. How does that feel?

No you are missing the point, the fact that it is mentioned is enough. Not when or how many times, should they have put it in bold for you?:lamo

You're a Liberal. - Libertarians don't have reading comprehension skills.

See: OP.
That's just stupid. But unlike you, I wont take the stupidity of one liberal and tar all liberals with that label. Now, you go back to trolling.

Yes, and MLK mentions rings in his I have a Dream speech. That doesn't make his speech about telephones. Now, with that aside, why is it that you picked those 2 sentences as the REASON the ILWU is leaving when there are far more obvious reasons for why they're choosing to leave? Is it because it fits your narrative far better? You literally picked 2 sentences out of 3 pages to cite that as THE definite reason for why the ILWU is leaving. You keep talking about people being blind, yet you have serious tunnel vision.

Again, your comprehension skills are very questionable. Do you not understand basic math?

Speaking of basic math. Longshoremen are a fast-disappearing breed since the introduction of shipping containers, mechanisation, and computerised loading. All of these have meant massive job losses world wide. With fewer members contributing, the further loss of members to competing unions who should be prevented from doing so by AFL/CIO agreements which are not being enforced, makes their union's very existence unsustainable. THAT's why they're leaving.

I picked page three as it is a summary of the first two and gives the obvious example. You should really learn how to read and comprehend business communications so you can make a legitimate arguments when debating them. I don't think you have a business mind and this is way over your pay grade.

more unions across the country were made weaker by ACA, which has been the Obama goal all along to weaken the workforce

Yeah they are going to turn to the the Republicans that want them gone lol. I read the letter and it mention ACA twice! Plus it is 11% of the total Union. I am going to take a nap now wake me up when you have something worht reading!

If they used their leverage they could go wherever they want. Strange that the letter did not say we are staying in part because of the ACA, but that are leaving, in part, because of it.

Why would I bother waking up a zombie when they are generally useless to begin with as far as I am concerned?

I picked page three as it is a summary

Only it wasn't a summary. A summary would imply that the reasons being mentioned on that page have been mentioned before. Did you read the letter? It still doesn't sound like you did. Please do. Page 3 is a continuation of a paragraph started on page 2 - which cites:

- Shakiness of the AFL
- ObamaCare
- Immigration reform
- The ILWU's refusal to compromise

All of which are reasons which are NEVER mentioned throughout the other 2 pages because the other 2 pages are composed of OTHER reason the ILWU leaving the AFL-CIO.

Again, you're looking mighty desperate. This letter is a list of reasons as to why the ILWU is leaving the AFL-CIO. One of which is ObamaCare and yet it isn't even the primary reason for leaving because they cite about 8 other reasons LONG before they cite ObamaCare. Your narrative is starting to fall apart.

You really need to stop taking Breitbart seriously.

It doesn't even follow his narrative about Obama being a socialist. Either he's pro-unions or he's anti-unions. Which is it?

The key to ObamaCare was always redistribution of Medical Coverage wealth. Anyone who thought there was a big pile of Free Money sitting in a pile to be tapped was an idiot. No, money for subsidies for the poor would come from where it always comes from, the Middle Class.

So - is Obama a socialist? Or is he not?

So - is Obama a socialist? Or is he not?

he is a closet socialist trying to put on a capitalist veneer
look he has to pay for this train wreck some how and there isn't enough rich people to tax their Cadillac insurance policies to foot the bill so he has to come up with the money somewhere so why not hit up the big insurance pools of unions. democrats always felt they have the union vote locked in just like the black community that they have done nothing for

So then he is a socialist pretending to be a capitalist? Where is his socialist abolition of private property? Why hasn't he nationalized ANY of our industries? Where are these socialist measures I don't really see in effect? Or is socialist what you don't like?

because socialist don't win elections in America so he has to put on a capitalist front but he still pushes for the main socialist philosophy of wealth redistribution just hides it with catch phrases like "paying your fair share"

What part of the word "also" that is in the letter is confusing to you? There was no "real" reason they left. They listed several reasons why they left.

They made it clear they have had their fill of Obamacare and it hasn't even fully kicked in yet. I will admit though, the smokescreen you are laying down trying to hide that fact is pretty funny.

It's funny to see them turn on each other.

Did the union members walk out on the union, or not?

Be kind; the Libbos are going to have a hard time with this.

Is that what they said in the 3 page letter? If they didn't say it in the letter, it doesn't count.

Did the union members walk out on the union, or not?

Not really, they decided to cease affiliation with the AFL.

Had you read it, you would know. As it is, you uncritically sucked up the latest Con-central lie, and hot-footed it here to spread it. Don't worry, there'll be another one along shortly. Their union will now be independent, so that any protection they did have from membership of the AFL against "poaching" of members by other unions no longer applies. They just moved their union from a rock to a hard place is all.

So then he hasn't pushed a single socialist reform - like say abolition of property - but his goal is to do just that by keeping up a capitalist front? Well, that's a pretty stupid plan aka conspiracy theory.

I think Obamacare is pretty much an equal opportunity screw job.
