Are you guys ever going to get over Clinton, or is that something that gets you guys off every time something like this comes up?

No it's not. That's why there is a sexual affair involved with potential unauthorized access to classified information.
Put his statement back into context, please.
Agreed. It's peculiar. And creates doubt about whatever he might testify about. No sympathy at all for Petraeus; all he had to do was honor his vows and keep his britches zipped. But the timing? It's most peculiar.
It is pretty pathetically sad. The right wing fixation with "God" issues has cost them the last two elections. And these won't be the last unless the sever their ties with the right wing religious nut jobs and start to show some color in their ranks.
It's more likely to be over eventually than the incessant evoking of "Bush."
Like i said a bunch of "could"'s based off of no facts.
There is something very fishy about this, first hitlary says she is leaving and now Petraes bugs out. Somehow all this links to the Benghazi affair.
So the answer is no, Clinton never goes away. Got it.
He'll be around for a long time, he made a spectacular transition from moral leader to moral lesson. Obama will be around for a long time also, as the American Nero.
Yeah, clearly it was no problem for Clinton.

It's a shame to hear this about General Petraeus. He was the theater commander when I was in Iraq in 2007. I met him at the Phoenix Academy which is a foreign military "train the trainer" school. He spoke to the graduates of every single class that went through it. If you remember, this was when he was famous for his strategy with the surge and when he was being called "General Betray Us" by Moveon.org. That a high profile guy like him took time out of his busy schedule to speak to every single class that graduated from there really drove home the emphasis that was placed upon our mission of training and fighting with the Iraqi Army. Things like that are the reason a lot of servicemembers were willing to adopt and buy into his counter insurgency strategy. We did and it helped us "win" the war, for lack of better terms. You just don't see leadership like that now with NATO-centric theater of Afghanistan. His personal life not withstanding, General Petraeus was a great commander and at least deserves respect for that.
I have heard from a couple people I know that he is like that. People who served under him, especially those close to him had incredible personal loyalty due to the way he treated his soldiers. I have nothing but respect for his work during the war.
General David Petraeus will stand in the ranks of America's greatest military heroes. His inspirational leadership and his genius were directly responsible -- after years of failure -- for the success of the surge in Iraq," Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., said. "General Petraeus has devoted his life to serving the country he loves, and America is so much the better for it.

You forgot the 'g', didn't you?
CIA Director David Petraeus resigned Friday after admitting to an extramarital affair -- an affair with his biographer that was revealed over the course of an FBI investigation, Fox News has learned.
The FBI had been investigating an unrelated and much broader case before stumbling on the affair. Fox News has learned that during the course of this investigation, the name of journalist and Petraeus biographer Paula Broadwell came up. The FBI followed that lead and in doing so, uncovered his affair with her. The FBI for some time was concerned that perhaps Petraeus was some sort of victim, but there has been no evidence discovered to back up such concerns.
The biographer for resigning CIA Director David Petraeus is under FBI investigation for improperly trying to access his email and possibly gaining access to classified information, law enforcement officials told NBC News on Friday.
Paula Broadwell is the author of Petraeus' biography, "All In." She had extensive access to Petraeus in Afghanistan and has given numerous television interviews speaking about him.
