The case stemmed from an EEOC decision to redefine and reinterpret “sex discrimination” in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity.”

The reinterpretation led to mandates which would have forced “religious employers to pay for and provide health insurance coverage for gender transition surgeries and procedures,” said Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) which filed suit on CEA’s behalf.

"In a victory for religious employers, a federal district court ruled Monday that the Biden administration cannot force non-profit and for-profit religious employers and healthcare providers to violate their religious beliefs by paying for and performing harmful ‘gender transition’ surgeries, procedures, counseling, and treatments," Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) announced in a press release.

If someone wants to change genders, they can pay for it themselves. No one else should have to be forced to pay for it.

Thank you for admitting that you dont understand how medical insurance works. Unless those companies are paying for the medical insurance of people who are not employees or covered family of employees, then the employees are paying for their care.

Elective surgeries.

Gender change surgery is like breast augmentation. You want it? You pay for it. Do you wanna pay for someone else's boob job?
They are not elective surgeries. This claim was debunked in the mid 1990s.

How about lung cancer and cirrhosis of the liver?
Reconstructive surgery for injuries sustained while being an idiot?

This really opens the **** door doesn't it. We really know now to keep Christian Nationalists out of politics or anything you don't want them to treat like mission work for Jesus.

Does the Bible mention something about transgender?

Assisted suicide.

I believe body dysmorphia is a real psychology issue but don't think self mutilation is a proper treatment for it.

For most things, we let patients and doctors decide what the proper treatment is.

Why stop there? Which other health issues should not be paid for?
Cosmetic surgery is not healthcare having to pay for a boob job for a man is no different than having to pay for a boob job for a woman.

There is no medical need for that.

Self-mutilation?
How very enlightened of you.

Is cleft palate surgery in the same area?
