President Trump on Wednesday said he planned to use money brought in from tariffs on imports to provide aid to soybean farmers who have been hurt by a trade dispute with China.

“The Soybean Farmers of our Country are being hurt because China is, for ‘negotiating’ reasons only, not buying,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “We’ve made so much money on Tariffs, that we are going to take a small portion of that money, and help our Farmers.”

Farmers of crops like soybeans and corn have had difficulty selling their harvest and have grappled with rising prices for supplies like fertilizer.

The U.S. has in the past been the No. 1 supplier of soybeans to China, but China recently purchased a massive soybean crop from Argentina.

Use the money brought in from Trump's Tariffgeddon...to aid farmers....who are hurt by Trump's Tariffgeddon?

I thought that money brought in from tariffs was to increase America's bank account? Now we have to spend that money to bail out farmers who are getting hurt because of those same tariffs and the retaliation against the tariffs.


This is the last damn time Americans should vote in someone who declared multiple bankruptcies on the promise of "I'll fix the economy".

The billions Donny's tariffs are raking in are going to line the pockets of the billionaires who got him elected and to finance demonstrations and push back to be able to cancel the 2026 elections..

Our farmers had a huge market for their soybeans until your stupid Trump and his tariffs lost it for them twice. The first time in Trump’s first term and the farmers got it back with Biden’s help and now again they have lost their biggest market with Trump’s new tariffs. If you lived in the Midwest you would know how important those markets were, as we no longer have them.

US Trade Rep saying he wanted Biden to follow up.. Brain Dead Biden forgot or whatever

It was very difficult to get even Robert Lighthizer to make the Chinese accept Phase 1
Trump 47 would have ran out of time as well -hence the quick fix attempt with tariffs

Oh, how the MAGA mind ahhh 'works'. If the great 'dealmaker' can't fix the China trade in this 4-year term, why does MAGA think anyone could have during Biden's 4 years???
Perhaps the MAGAs can admit China was in no way and no how willing to give up any more than they did back with TACO 45???
Seems China feels they are in the driver's seat. TACO thought he could bully the largest supplier of goods to the USofA and they just smiled. Now American farmers are going to pay the price and that will trickle down though all of Rural TACOland... :unsure:

Key export markets- all together they might equal ALL China USED to buy. But don't expect the other buyers to be able to ramp up their imports by more than 1 or 2%. Big problem is soybeans must be processed and that is a somewhat complex process. Not easily ramped up. Maybe in 4 years these other countries can ramp up up what will they do with the extra oil and meal???
An example- Mexico imports 2.3 b
EU imports 2.45 b
China USED to import 12.64 b.
I don't see either Mexico or EU are NOT significant importers of our beans....
But spin on for the MAGANUTS. TACO will triumph over China just like his meme poses show... :rolleyes:
