Israel is a European Colonial state oppressing an indigenous people. Period. Full stop.

I don't think it's quite that simple Given the past two thousand years of trickling and intermittent waves of migration back to their cultural and ancestral homeland, a Jewish-majority region in Palestine (whose inhabitants would obviously have a right to self-determination in some form) could have been historically inevitable had it not been for intermittent waves of oppression and expulsion from the region keeping the Jewish population forcefully low.

Except there was no interest by the Ashkenazim to move back to Palestine before WWII.

Meanwhile, when the Sephardic Jews were driven out of Spain after 1492, the Islamic World welcomed them with open arms. Until the establishment of Israel, when they threw them all out.
