Given the past two thousand years of trickling and intermittent waves of migration back to their cultural and ancestral homeland, a Jewish-majority region in Palestine (whose inhabitants would obviously have a right to self-determination in some form) could have been historically inevitable had it not been for intermittent waves of oppression and expulsion from the region keeping the Jewish population forcefully low.
