Chicagoans Tell Fox News To ‘Shut The F— Up About Chicago’ With New T-Shirts

Hilarious.

A guy in a Naperville diner saying how dangerous the city is. I just saw a Facebook post from someone in Hinsdale asking where the ‘safe’ restaurants are to go to. I know people who live in the relatively near burbs that haven’t been in the city in decades.

And I live here, and haven’t even been murdered once.

Hmmm, Chicago is SO bad, is it?

15 Most Dangerous Cities in the US

15 Most Dangerous Cities in the US

  1. St. Louis, Missouri
  2. Mobile, Alabama
  3. Birmingham, Alabama
  4. Baltimore, Maryland
  5. Memphis, Tennessee
  6. Detroit, Michigan
  7. Cleveland, Ohio
  8. New Orleans, Louisiana
  9. Shreveport, Louisiana
  10. Baton Rouge, Louisiana
  11. Little Rock, Arkansas
  12. Oakland, California
  13. Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  14. Kansas City, Missouri
  15. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Well well. Chicago and NY NOT on that list. Some Dem run cities, some Repub run cities.

So listen up folks, particularly you Righties:
Listening to Fox and going "gee golly wow, must be true" without doing your own research or critical thinking, is bound to make you look REALLY REALLY stupid.

I would REALLY like it if you Fox News hounds would understand this:

Or as the Who put it...Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Ten Years After put if fairly well with: “tax the rich, feed the poor, ‘til there are no rich no more. I’d love to change the world, but I don’t know what to do, so I leave that up to you”. Never stated, of course, is what happens after ”there are no rich”.

Two things about this report: https://www.moneygeek.com/living/safest-cities/

1. As I pointed out elsewhere, 9 of the 15 most dangerous cities in that report are run by Democrats.

2. Chicago does not make it on that site's Safest cities list either. Nor does NYC.

3. The rating is based on the COST of crimes, not crime rates. Larger cities have more citizens to spread the monetary "costs" around as opposed to smaller cities.

Thus that "report" is nonsense.

Fox News spends all it time talking about how horrible cities are. Let's see their infotainers move from the City to someplace like Des Moines and seed how they like it.

Not true. He'll change things by making it WORSE.
That was the problem with the last mayor, she didn't drive the city into the dirt fast enough.

Something doesn't make sense with this guy's story (father in video).

The father fears his kid could get killed if his party is on the Southside, so instead the kid gets killed when he has his party on the Northside?

I suspect the killers followed the party to the Northside, and there's more to the story than meets the eye. Quite likely, gang involvement.

Typical Fox B.S.

Not now, but I did.

Odd you assume this, since the West Side is the bad part of town.

I can only say to you…

The Westside was often considered the toughest area back in the day, as it had so much violence concentrated in a much smaller area than the Southside.

But let's not kid ourselves, there are some godawful section of the Southside that go for miles.

The Westside, by comparison, is actually cleaning-up on the East-end - all the way through the Stadium (UC) & past. The Medical Center and surrounding areas have built-up & gentrified even.

But I suspect the West-end of the Westside won't clean-up until something is done about the "Heroin Highway" problem. And I believe it still has some of the remnants the old Cicero ethos of prostitution, 24/7 drinking-doping, and protected lawlessness.

Did the south side clean up? I was there as a kid to the South Water markets, and it was an eye opener for a 10 year old!

That is technically "Southside", as anything South of Madison is "Southside". But in terms of discussion as we're having, it is thought of moreso as the "Westside". At the edge, but still colloquially the Westside.

By "Southside", you generally start thinking South of 31st Street, and beyond (going further South).

It’s a large area. Some areas are great, some not.

South Water market is now upscale condos.

The mayor got voted out because of the violence...................................but no problem right?

Crime was a part of it, but not the whole of it by a long shot. She pissed off all groups equally, which is why she lost.
