Charlie Kirk's memorial service taking place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona

nothing but hearsay about how “shitty” Charlie Kirk was from some on this board….and I’ve seen no video evidence supporting these claims.

I’ve seen a lot of Charlie Kirk’s talks with trans people gay people and porn people…..they all said Charlie treated them with respect.

When others post his full quotes of how shitty some of his opinions are, they are met with what about and attacks on the person posting that quote. Not really worth the effort given it can take 15 seconds to find out the things he said others might have personal disagreements making it really obvious you are either not trying to find those words or they just resonate with a truth in you

Anyone not inspired by the strength of Kirk's wife, whether they agree with her opinions or not, is an ogre. Pure and simple.
You have so much hate in your heart, that it blocks you from accepting anyone as good unless they agree with you 100%.
For this woman to give a eulogy to her husband in front of 90,000 people and millions on TV - and hold it together is nothing short of one of the bravest things I have ever witnessed.
She is religious, I am not. But I am not such a hater, and so intolerant that I can't still be amazed by her.

Hard agree

Can believe to mind read her all anyone wants, to do what she did took more guts in a single moment many don't have in their entire life. Compared to her last video right after his death, it seemed like she really took the time needed to process it and come out strong. I personally detest the lifestyle she lives, but we are all human in the end and deserve to let her mourn and re engage life her own way.

You abandoned your proposal more quickly than most. 😆

Practical, pragmatic, common sense would strongly imply that the desire to separate things that are more dangerous than most other things from people who have no business owning or operating things that are more dangerous than other things is sound.

Whether it be the way I suggested or some other way doesn’t matter. It’s that the result of keeping these things, very dangerous tools from those unfit to use them, will result in saving lives and limbs.

Not because I say so, because common sense says so.

This is weird man.

An off hand comment about how because a highly regulated thing like cars kill people that a lightly regulated thing like guns can kill people so we don’t have to regulate guns more turns into a “Checkmate Lib!!!!” When the point of it is that guns could be regulated more.

It’s even a pretty popular position that guns could be regulated more

I don't see anything weird. I see that it's amusing watching you tap dance and wave your hands to avoid your initial proposal. Now you're tossing senseless word salad.

I told you that you wouldn't like it.

You are placing waaaaay too much importance on this.

It's kinda hard to make out what you're saying in all that common sense.

You made the proposal. I didn't make the proposal. I warned you. 😆
So let us go to the logical conclusion of taking what I said to be 100% 1 for 1.

That would mean I am advocating seat belt laws for firearm use.

You see why the “Checkmate Lib!!!” Is silly?

So you should have thought about it a bit before blurting it out.

But we didn't even get to "seatbelts".

You were scared off your proposal by the idea of simply buying a gun being compared to buying a car. If that first step in ownership is incomparable, your proposal that guns should be regulated like cars had no merit at all.

I am seriously proposing that AR-15’s should have airbags.

I’m such a silly lib who has been checkmated.

Just connecting the dots…………
Right, with a preconceived conclusion from the start, I'm being totally honest when I say when I first witnessed that hug, I did not see anything at all that made me think there was anything sexual in it. It seemed awkward, seemed like Trump wanted to end it a little earlier than she did, and then he re-engaged, patted her shouldrr and made a weird Trump face like he does.

It was not until the tick-tokers suggestion that my mind went there. But maybe that's my preconceived notion. Which is interesting since I don't see Trump in an extremely positive light.

There are risks with driving, no matter what improvements are made. Enforcement of traffic laws in the US is weak, resulting 10s of thousands of deaths every year.

And nobody just accepts that as the "cost of driving a car," are you understanding that part? Literally nobody from car owners on up to legislation. So laws continue to build and to tighten.

How often do you hear of people driving without a license or without insurance?

Often, and the go to jail.

That is the law now. The problem arises when an illegible person attempts a purchase; follow-up by law enforcement is often non-existent. A trend I like is the prosecution of parents or adults when a child is killed by an unsecured firearm.

Well per your logic, there are risks with firearms, no matter what improvements are made. Law enforcement is DEFINITELY weak regarding firearms, resulting in 10s of thousands of deaths every year. And how often do you hear of people buying a gun without a check beforehand?

I mean is that what you're trying to slant this as? We can't stop these tragedies so just give up?

Lawmakers certainly aren't regarding driving. Why should anyone regarding firearms?

Traffic stops can result in the revelation or search and discovery of a firearm.

Yes, they can.

I get to notice when someone is obviously putting on a show. :)
Of course you are entitled to your opinion. As am I. And as are the thousands in attendance at Charlies memorial. Glad we got that straightened out. ;)

Now strawmanning in an attempt to distance yourself from your proposal that guns should be regulated by cars.

Seems it would have been easier for you had you wrote: Guns should NOT be regulated like cars.

It's where you arrived anyway. 😆

I want revolvers to have turn signals.

It has to be a one to one thing.

Silly libs get checkmated all the time.
