COVID was the fourth leading cause of mortality in 2022, linked to 245,614 deaths.

It plummeted to the 10th cause in 2023, with 76,446 deaths.

Very good news indeed.

Very good news indeed.
That’s great.
The comments on the FOX link are a hoot. The usual complaints about what constitutes a covid death and then gems like this -
“I’m surprised TDS wasn’t on the list”
Okay.

Nice! I still haven't had COVID. Some of my fiends have been hospitalized with it recently tho, so, nothing to fool around with for sure!
Shhh. Don’t jinx it. I know a few never covid people who got it for the first time this summer.

It's making a comeback right now. A few of my friends have it.

big time

most contagious strain yet

even if you don't die, you may well be so sick you wish you did

Isn't it great what vaccines, and actual medical treatments, can accomplish?
The vaccines were quite helpful in regards to those first two very deadly variants. All the booster since are just hit and miss much like the flu vaccines. Now the virus is simply mutating it's way down to a another version of the common cold.

A comeback would be a variant as deadly as the first two. Now it's just another common virus we hve to live with, much like colds and flu.

Thanks to the covidiots. And Covid is not just like the flu.

In most cases at this point in time, it's actually not as bad as the flu. You are still living in the Pqndemic era.

Only for the vaccinated and treated.

Same. A few of my friends just got over it. I'm hoping to not get it again. I'll get my next booster as soon as my doctor recommends it.
