Car bombs kill Iranian nuclear expert
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) – Two assailants on a motorcycle attached magnetic bombs to the car of an Iranian university professor working at a key nuclear facility, killing him and another person Wednesday, state TV reported. The slayings suggest a widening covert effort to set back Iran's atomic program.
It appears that somebody's "Spooks" have been busy__Hmmm?__Wonder if it was Mossad or CIA???
Don't care which one, but I would love to shake their hand and buy them dinner.
So terrorism is ok as long as it is in Iran? :doh
Tell me, what did THIS civilian guy do that deserved to get him killed by a terrorist attack?
I thought the point of terrorism is to spread.....terror.....not assassinations.

... On Tuesday, Israeli military chief Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz was quoted as telling a parliamentary panel that 2012 would be a "critical year" for Iran — in part because of "things that happen to it unnaturally."
"Many bad things have been happening to Iran in the recent period," added Mickey Segal, a former director of the Israeli military's Iranian intelligence department. "Iran is in a situation where pressure on it is mounting, and the latest assassination joins the pressure that the Iranian regime is facing." ...
The dinner should probably consist of a jewish dish cuz my money's on Mossad.Don't care which one, but I would love to shake their hand and buy them dinner.
You don't think by planting and exploding a bomb on a car that it didn't spread terror among the people?

Not in the sense that they will always be leery of cars.
I think that's why the only true "terrorism" is a long series of random killings, in various ways. Makes you truly afraid of everything.
Hmmm?__I could have sworn that information was in the news article?!So terrorism is ok as long as it is in Iran? :doh

I wpuld be willing to bet that Iranian nuclear workers/scientists are....terrified....right now.
This is not terrorism. And as far as I'm concerned not a civilian since he was working on Iranian nukes.
We need to stop their nuclear program, and this is much better than going to war with them.
Again, justifying a civilian being killed just because he is working on a project YOU DON'T LIKE, does not justify a terrorist attack like this and is more in line with how Al-Qaeda operates more than anything.
Al-Qaeda killed workers in Iraq because the workers were helping a government they didn't support. You are using their same justification to kill a civilian worker.
No doubt some of the same people praising this assassination criticized Obama for taking out bin Laden. Because of course ... Obama.
It's not like he was working on a bridge or something, he was working on a nuclear bomb, and a crazy, unstable regime like Iran must not be allowed to have the power to literally destroy the planet. Their nuclear program must be stopped, and covert actions like this should be supported by everyone who doesn't want them to have a nuclear bomb.
It seems that people in this thread do not know what terrorism is.
Some people are extraordinarily ignorant of the meaning of basic terms, and this is especially true among those who are motivated by a political agenda rather than any search for truth.
A targeted assassination is not terrorism, obviously so, since to be considered terrorism, the targets need to be civilian AND RANDOM. This was not random, so it wasn't terrorism.

Post #19 in this thread an obvious example.
