Capitol Police officer Brian D. Sicknick suffered two strokes and died of natural causes a day after he confronted rioters at the Jan. 6 insurrection, the District’s chief medical examiner has ruled.
The ruling, released Monday, likely will make it difficult for prosecutors to pursue homicide charges in the officer’s death. Two men are accused of assaulting Sicknick by spraying a powerful chemical irritant at him during the siege.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Francisco J. Diaz, the medical examiner, said the autopsy found no evidence the 42-year-old officer suffered an allergic reaction to chemical irritants, which Diaz said would have caused Sicknick’s throat to quickly seize. Diaz also said there was no evidence of internal or external injuries.

The medical examiner noted Sicknick was among the officers who engaged the Capitol mob and said “all that transpired played a role in his condition.

Stress can trigger a stroke, like it can trigger a heart attack, especially when you're talking about the ischemic type.

As OP's article notes:

Two men are accused of assaulting Sicknick by spraying a powerful chemical irritant at him during the siege. . . . The medical examiner noted Sicknick was among the officers who engaged the Capitol mob and said “all that transpired played a role in his condition.”

But then, the only real complaint these people have about the insurrection is that it didn't work. That's why you see them compare the violent invasion of the Capitol building to a "kegger".

Great defense for Officer Chauvin.

Great defense for Officer Chauvin.

Boy, did you miss the point.

If a bunch of treasonous Trumpist assholes put a cop through the most stressful day of his career and that person has a stroke/heart attack just hours later, you're not in a position to say they had nothing to do with it.

You'll gain high-five from fellow Trumpists, sure, but those are the people whose only real complaint about the insurrection is that it failed. Which is all Trumpists ever seem to want here. Debate? lol.

Felony assault resulting in death doesn't require a smoking gun so to speak. All that is required is that one or more of multiple actions contributed to a death.

If a person is struggling with a police officer and the officer suffers a fatal heart attack, that is considered unpremeditated murder.

Nothing to do with it? Correct in assuming it might be a side cause. THE cause of death? Hardly.

Kinda like the Chauvin case eh?

Can you imagine all of the stress related causes of death if stress WAS a cause of death?

When did they know that Officer Sicknick died of natural causes and why did they hide this from the public for so long?
The narrative had already been constructed and the process of promoting it had already been set in motion. Once the propaganda has been disseminated there can be no turning back!!!

I can't wait to watch CNN later tonight so I can find out how all this Sicknick stuff is a lie and how he really was murdered.

If that officer was so susceptible to death by stress, I'm thinking he was in the wrong line of work.

One doesnt die from a stroke because of stress 24 hours earlier.

The narrative. Exactly.

Oh, you don't like the point YOU made.
The only direct cause and effect on someone's death on that very day was a Capital officer killing Ashli Babbitt, without warning.

So to be clear, one person present at the Capital on January 6, 2021 was killed, and it was Ashli Babbitt.
She was murdered. Even clearer than virtually any of the claims of police murdering perps. The still unnamed murderer has been let off the hook.

That is not the way works. If the events at the Capitol that day caused the stroke to occur that day, he is a casualty of the events of that day. The question is, "if not for the Capitol riot, would Officer Sicknick have slept in his bed that night"

Try it another way, if you shoot a cancer patient in hospice, is it murder? Yes, it it is.

Reminder, there is no basis whatsoever that job stress was related to Sicknick's ultimate strokes. NONE.
Diaz said Sicknick suffered two strokes at the base of the brain stem caused by a clot in an artery that supplies blood to that area of the body. Diaz said he could not comment on whether Sicknick had a preexisting medical condition, citing privacy laws.

She was murdered. The perp has been declared blameless and to walk free without ever being named.

If we use black men resisting arrest and getting killed in the process, after numerous warnings and attempts to get them to comply, then yes, Babbitt was murdered in cold blood. The officer chose firing center mass as a means of crowd control. Imagine that happening JUST ONCE during any of the hundreds of BLM riots.
Not even when BLM and Antifa are throwing bricks and fireworks at police have they ONCE chosen one person to kill as a warning to the rest.

So they basically killed him anyways. But they are gonna focus on Ashley because it's their only route to being a victim

This attack on the capital just proves that Trump and these terrorists aren't for law and order, do not have the health, safety and freedoms of America in mind. They are simply domestic terrorists. Watching them, it's clear that they just wanted to terrorize this country into doing what Trump wanted.

They committed terror, and it worked. America will NEVER vote these people into office again. The upcoming elections will be back to center and stir clear of fanatics.

There are still sane Republicans and Democrats out there that are sick of this sheet.
