While I respect your right to feel that way, I have to completely disagree. Morality is the oldest of concepts. It goes back to our most primitive and uncivilized ancestors. In any other animal we would call it Instinct or Innate Knowledge. THAT is the basis for True Morality.

But what is it. Which moral law is righ or wrong. I used to be illegal to marry someone outside your race. What made it immoral then and moral now. It used to be legal to beat your wife. What made it moral then and immoral now? What makes being gay immoral? What makes smoking pot instead of drinking immoral? What is morality other that someone elses opinion of how you should live your life? Who gets to decide what is moral or not? I say as long as it does not hurt anyone else then who cares if it is moral or not? It is private. One mans outrage is anothers party. It is just a matter of opinion and as long as you or I am not hurt who cares?

This is a common misconception. The idea that morality changes is incorrect. What changes is what parts of morality are considered acceptable by society and what parts we try to find ways to ignore, avoid, or create "grey areas" to assauge our guilt about blatantly defying. Morality supercedes religion, nationality, culture, race, etc....

Can a party win a national election and lose the female vote by over 10%? I don't think so when you are already losing minority voters by huge margens. So the GOP is going to have to give in on Abortion rights and immagration before they can win national elections again. We all know this and have debated it several times but it is showing itself to be true. Even in red states like Texas the female voters are enraged over the pius,male and downright crazy war on abortion. Look at the outrage in NC. The social conservatives are hated there and it is not going to be a good election clcle for the GOP these. Why? The female vote.

I love Swedish Prog rock,Death Metal and Black metal. I never would have thought Satanic music would be so popular in the great north but that Black metal thing is crazy. What is behind it? Never underestimate the ability of someone that gets the hunger for winning...at any cost. Once the party gets that hunger, it will do the "right" thing.

As for the dark metal, it is all good fun. There is something cool about it, especially on these dark, wintery nights when you can find a place that is playing.

The fact is if the main issue is the Economy, as it so often is, and the GOP talk economy and only economy - then they have a very good chance at election. I agree that social conservative issues can derail a GOP election. While I might agree with you normally but that should have happened in the last election. The GOP has swung so far to the right and pissed off so many groups they blew it. The president does not have to run again so his popularity does not matter that much. Even if the GOP wins back the senate it will be too late to repeal without a replacment. It seems to me the GOp has a hard time keeping their mouths shut on their backward thinking on social issues. Remember they tried last time and could not do it.
