I saw an ad on Facebook for an unbiased news source. I did not look into it as I worry about going to sits I do not know. It did make me wonder though, is there really an unbiased news source in todays's media world. I cannot think of one, but can you tell me of one?

Tough to find tv personalities without political leanings.

There are no purely objective, completely unbiased news organizations because there are no purely objective, completely unbiased people to gather and report “news”.

There are however, at least a handful (ex; Reuters, BBC, AP, and PBS NewsHour) that do make an honest effort to report the news, unfiltered/unbiased.

“TV Personalities” aren’t journalists. There should be no expectation of impartiality when watching/listening to them.

It's a fool's errand. Is a news source that says 'trump was indicted for the fourth time and we have no opinion whether that's good or bad' better than one that says 'trump was indicted for the fourth time, and that is the justice system operating'.

I like the BBC. British Broadcasting.....
Newsmax is my go-to source when searching for a lack of bias source, NPR being the absolute worst with CNN, The Onion and MSNBC not far behind.

MAGA.

FOX - Fair AND Balanced.

(and yet there are still morons out there that believe it)

I used to think that, too, until it threw Trump under the nearest convenient bus.

You should try Newsmax.

No.

I'm sorry, but you are going to have to do the work to filter out the bias-based descriptors that all news reporters insert into their coverage and headlines. The biggest challenge you'll have is to actually recognize the bias when you see it.

But don't worry...it's not hard to do with a little practice.

For example, which of the following is unbiased?

"...Trump's claims of election fraud."

"...Trump's false claims of election fraud."

"...Senator Bill Cassidy Says Trump Should Drop Out of 2024 Race."

"...RINO Senator Bill Cassidy Says Trump Should Drop Out of 2024 Race."

Yeah, I keep it right here with my perpetual motion machine.

I do enjoy your sense of humor.

Have to disagree. MSNBC is as left biased as Fox is right. Both suck as an info source. Several sources are needed. I agree with #5.
I agree msnbc is most assuredly left leaning but they don't pull stories out of thin air and insist they are true like fox or newmax. Msnbc uses lots of clips where you can see and listen to folks like trump making idiotic statements. The right hates msnbc and cnn because they are for the most part accurate with their stories.

MSNBC and FOX are useful to see trends and tactics from the left and right, but because they are both so biased, neither has any credibility. They're good/useful for watching marketing spins and tactics but really bad as a news source. Newsmax and OAN are pure low cost crap providers and serve as propaganda tools. I'm sure they're are several on the left also.

All I can say is that if something markets itself as unbiased it's not. I guess the closest thing to no bias would be Associated Press or Reuters, but even then that's not entirely true, both are driven by a pretty bland centrist bias, which is still a bias.

Again, this whole idea of 'bias' is the wrong issue. There IS bias of various sorts but it's more complicated. Some media's whole purpose seems to be pulling people from honest media, analogous to offering a kid candy instead of food. We're lucky in one way, that at least our media is based on choice, rather than having a big budget and power to censor like the CCP or North Korea or Russia do.

I would suggest more important than the mythical non-biased news source, is find some good outlets including magazines and books. The Intercept, Mother Jones, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, Harper's are examples. For a traditional news source, the New York Times is usually good though sometimes blows it, same for Washington Post.

So, bias is fine as long as it's your bias. Your suggestion isn't a solution, it's the problem.
