True, but his victimhood schtick is fairly decent. Obviously it's not in the same league as Donald, but his "woe is me thanks to the meanie dems" routine has him solidly in the top quartile of our local MAGA. If his defense of Donald's honor wasn't so consistently ineffective, his posts would have earned some some serious street cred with Eric and possibly even Lara, but his open RINO status sadly makes him politically homeless and thus largely irrelevant.

Which seems more disturbing to you?
A person on an anonymous person on a message board calling Trump a name that might be seen by 200 people.
The President of the United States, who has millions of followers, calling someone a name on his social media platform.
Do you really not see the difference?

I am pretty sure Trump has been called more names by the Trump hating media talking heads, and the Trump hating political foes.

I think I see the problem here.

Basically, @Queen Margo is forbidden from speaking ill of Donald. In her universe, he is something akin to perfection incarnate and capable of doing no wrong. He is her absolute definition of truth and morality, and anyone who stands in his way has been corrupted by Satan or some other source of evil. As a result, some rando calling Trump a name on some small forum is an absolute travesty and tragedy (and possibly illegal should Donald declare that he thinks it should be illegal) and any name he makes up for any human being is perfectly normal and acceptable for all perpetuity.

If you imagine Trump to have functionally replaced Jesus Christ in her and other MAGA's worlds, then yes there is a huge difference between their Jesus calling somebody a name (to them, he's uttering a truth) and somebody calling him a name (to them, that's blasphemy against a divine figure.) So yes, they do see a difference, just not the one you or I would see.

As Trumps economic mismanagement pushes the economy to the edge of a recession, and as his crypto, aircraft etc corruption hits the news, his failure to solve the Ukraine war etc becomes obvious, Trump is desperate to change the subject. He knows that despite trans 'issues' affecting a tiny, tiny, tiny % of Americans, he can use this to rile up his maga cult and completely distract them from anything that really matters. If you are a reporter and ask Trump about the economic horror unfolding, or his various corrupt schemes, he will just attack you and change the subject. Ask him about anything transgender though and you can get a 5 minute monologue about how he is saving America from this incredibly destructive harm. And the trained maga seals will clap loudly as their ability to feed their families and keep them healthy is being pulled out from under them. There are none so blind as those who will not see!

It's worked. He now has @Jay59 and @Queen Margo all riled up about trans people and people being mean to Donald, with no attention to his crypto profiteering, lack of 200 trade deals and the ongoing Ukraine war. This should keep them frothing for a couple of days, at which point he'll switch to something new, maybe back to the Haitian cat-eaters?

AB Hernandez, a student at Jurupa Valley High School, has been the target of a right-wing campaign to ban trans athletes from California youth sports. Campus security guards and Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies stood by as the adults continually yelled at Hernandez from the sidelines. At one point, the noise caused a false start in a race. The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, which the high school is part of, “prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and bullying in all district activities.” The district did not respond to a request for comment.

“There’s nothing I can do about people’s actions, just focus on my own,” Hernandez told Capital & Main in an exclusive interview on Saturday during a break in the track meet. “I’m still a child, you’re an adult, and for you to act like a child shows how you are as a person.” ...Hernandez says that the overwhelming majority of athletes competing alongside her support her.

“Girls were just shocked that people would actually come to do that, and really bully a child,” she said. Hernandez has competed on the track team for three years, and says this is the first year that her presence has drawn any negative attention. “I’ve done this for two years prior and nothing, so why now?”

While I think having biological males compete against biological females is unfair to biological females, this doesn’t make my top 100 issue list. It’s one of these I’d whether not happen, but if it does, so be it. I see nothing here to get my hackles up about. If the people and the governor of California don’t have a problem with this, I don’t either. This certainly isn’t a federal issue or an issue to go threatening the governor of California about.

Why is it so hard for the left, mostly, to understand that biological men do not belong in the same competitive classification as biological women? Common sense, science, fair play, nothing indicates that this is a good nor appropriate mix for honest competition. Women are biologically not able to compete with men in physical competitions. Science clearly shows us that men have huge advantages. Even when taking testosterone inhibitors the advantage for men is huge. How can the democrats, the former party of protecting and honoring women, go along with this assault on women's athletics and on the infringement into women's private spaces? We seperate competition athletically by age groups because the development of human bodies even within the same sex gives advantages in size, speed, strength, lung capacity, blood volume, as they grow and mature. We wouldn't even consider a 12 year old player to compete with 18 year olds. No parent, no official would believe that to be reasonable. Somehow the democrats/liberals/progressives are making no distinction between biological men and biological women in sport.
