Why is it illegal immigrants/non-citizens? There's lots of non-citizens working legally in the US. If they pay into the unemployment insurance scheme, are they not entitled to it's benefits?

Newsom has always been a pro-business moderate and for us California residents we see evidence of this again and again. The mainstream conservative media loves to paint him as some hyper-liberal, left-of-Bernie bleeding heart but in reality Newsom, like every California governor of either party that we’ve had for decades, is something of a centrist. To be successful leading our state, you’ve got to be pro-business, socially compassionate but only to a limit, and have deep pro-environmental policies.

I hope they criminalize the employers that will continue to collect it from them.
 
That's a shame, and I don't agree but, Newsom has done similar before. I think the truth is, you only care because it's election season.

I'd say you are correct. These far left democrats suddenly have shifted positions, Why would they do that? We all know it's temporary and after getting elected they will return to crazy policies.

You're very ignorant on Newsom. He's most criticized for not being progressive enough. He vetoed two housing bills last year as well. So, close but no cigar for you!

Doing a bit of research helps make things credible although lately it seems MAGAs don't care about being credible, lies work just as well if not better, am I right?

He’s been like this for the entirety of his term. Your wacky conspiracy theory is nothing more than a false perception given to out-of-staters from AM radio or Tucker’s show. The reality is that he like all of his predecessors hews near the center and tends to adopt pro-business positions on any matter not strictly related to environmental matters.

So which do you want, USA the leader in oil production and lower gasoline prices, or enforcement OF the so called fracking ban and higher gasoline prices? I am guessing that no matter which position an incoming president chooses, if they are a Democrat, you will find a way to demonize them, whereas if they are MAGA, you will laud them as heroes and patriots.
It has nothing to do with the environmental hazards of hydraulic fracturing in your mind, it has to do with your cult membership in MAGA.

The story indicates that this is the 3rd of 3 bills that were recently vetoed. This particular bill only addresses illegal aliens.
