FIFYTell those Democrats to stop raising the gasprices. Taxes. Grrr...
True, but they're too stupid to figure that out. Ergo....grossly incompetent.Gas prices have a much more damaging affect on the poor not just at the pump, but on food, basic goods, and pantry staples.
Not too far off from the truth there Grandpappy. Much has already been posted on this in these forums.A Republican sponsored bill would have suspended the California gas tax for a year. Gas prices here are almost $6 a gallon, 51 cents of which is state tax. . The gas tax was the result of a scam bill from Democrats that raised gas taxes to " Improve road conditions". Which was complete BS. These imbeciles hate cars, even though the state runs on them.
In reality, it takes wheelbarrow full of our money to feed, cloth, and educate illegal aliens and drug addicted bums. That's the actual reason. These scumball Democrats hate cars, and want to force everyone into EV's, which sadly, due to enviro-wackos, the state electrical grid can't power.
And they have $65 billion dollar state surplus....Thanks Joe, print more!
Be advised....this bloody insanity is the way of the country if you don't wake up and smell the coffee. Grossly incompetent? Oh, ya.
I'm glad you're amused.
When? Dec 2019.

There are more, but that should suffice.
Biden said over and over he would kill fossil fuels!
Listen to him in his own words!
Joe Biden is determined to END FRESH DRILLING by Fossil Fuel Industry
Biden targets drilling, fossil fuel subsidies in sweeping climate push
President Joe Biden on Wednesday signed a raft of executive actions to combat climate change, including pausing new oil and gas leases on federal land and cutting fossil fuel subsidies, as he pursues green policies he billed as a boon to the economy.
(Continued)“In that EO, the President stated that it is the policy of his government to act to “mitigate [climate-related financial] risk and its drivers,” as part of his Administration’s all-of-government approach to addressing the climate crisis. The EO directs several federal actors to issue reports and recommendations on how, precisely, to do that.
By including the “drivers” of climate change in the Executive Order’s directives, President Biden has made it clear that agencies can’t just tinker with assessments and disclosure —steps that provide greater information and transparency on banks’ climate risks. Federal financial regulators must address what is creating that risk head-on, including by driving down the financing of fossil fuels.”
Financial Regulators Have the Power to Prevent a Climate-fueled Economic Crash
Here's how regulators can implement Biden’s climate finance executive order to prevent an economic crashwww.evergreenaction.com
Utterly bizarre that they are pretending that destroying the oil industry is not a core platform of their party. Bizarre.
1. On his first day as president, Biden canceled completion of the Keystone XL Pipeline, taking away thousands of American jobs, reducing domestic energy production, and driving up the cost of oil.
2. One of Biden’s first actions as president was suspending oil and gas leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and New Mexico.
3. Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reinstalled regulations that restrict domestic energy production, including resurrecting the “Waters of the United States” rule that limits how farmers and ranchers can use their land.
4. Last month the EPA announced new regulations for methane emissions from oil and gas production, transmission, storage, and distribution. The American Petroleum Institute estimated that the Democrats’ desired ban on oil and gas development on federal lands would cause nearly 1 million Americans to lose their jobs, and cost the U.S. $500 billion to import gas.
5. Biden’s EPA is also pushing a new rule regulating greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles. That regulation is estimated to raise the average vehicle price by $1,000.
6. President Donald Trump pulled the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord, citing its harm to American jobs and the U.S. economy. Biden rejoined the United Nation’s globalist project, which will result in more energy regulations and restrictions and drive up the cost of domestic energy, including gasoline and heating.
7. Biden’s decision to put a moratorium on oil and gas leasing on federal land and his goal of banning hydraulic fracking will no doubt please Russia and OPEC as the U.S. loses its energy independence and increases its dependence on foreign oil and gas.
8. Biden vowed to prohibit fracking, which will cause a massive loss in American jobs. “Banning fracking, as Biden has promised to do, would eliminate 19 million jobs between 2021-2025,” according to the House Republican Policy Committee.
9. Biden’s policies have resulted in skyrocketing prices at the gas pump. A year ago — in November 2020 — the average gas price was $2.11 per gallon. By November 2021, the national average gas price had shot up to $3.42. Americans paid 61 percent more for gas as inflation soared to a 30-year high.
10. Biden’s Build Back Better plan would spend taxpayer dollars to force utilities to use more expensive forms of energy (as called for in the Green New Deal), reducing energy choices and raising costs for American consumers.
You missed another post of mine which explained your question.
Here is a CNN link that in my opinion does a good job telling both sides of the issue.

The Biden administration is placing road blocks making it difficult for these oil producers.
U.S. Treasury's Yellen to push development banks to step up climate financing effort
U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Sunday signaled she will push multilateral development banks further away from fossil fuel projects, saying she would ask them to "increase their climate ambition" to support the Paris Agreement on carbon emissions reductions.www.reuters.com Yellen Urges Development Banks To Stop Fossil Fuel Funding | OilPrice.com

You got the Treasury Secretary pushing banks away from fossil fuel projects. How do they get funding?
The road blocks and regulations this administration has placed on oil producers scares investors away.

Sadly, yes.Californians voted much of this in.

Sounds to me like those people need a higher minimum wage.Gas prices have a much more damaging affect on the poor not just at the pump, but on food, basic goods, and pantry staples.

Sure, but were you getting laid?I was paying $1.89 before Xiden was installed, now I'm paying $3.99
Let's Go Brandon!
Guess what? Gas here is $5.50. You can move here. I'm not going to lose any sleep over your 51 cents. So sad to see it upsets you so much.FIFY
On the other end, California has some of the highest wages also. The minimum wage in California is $15.00
You can pay 25-40 dollars more for a full tank of gas but you're still ahead versus some of the states like Florida.
Gas in Florida (Sarasota) is around 4.50 ...just bought some today. The minimum wage is 10 bucks
California wages is 5 bucks higher.... times 40 equals 200 bucks a week You're still far ahead.
So if gas taxes are lifted where should the government recover the lost revenue?True, but they're too stupid to figure that out. Ergo....grossly incompetent.
Those that are running their vehicles on California roads are helping to pay for their maintenance through gasoline taxes. Seems fair to me.A Republican sponsored bill would have suspended the California gas tax for a year. Gas prices here are almost $6 a gallon, 51 cents of which is state tax. . The gas tax was the result of a scam bill from Democrats that raised gas taxes to " Improve road conditions". Which was complete BS. These imbeciles hate cars, even though the state runs on them.
Yes, that would seem reasonable, but Grandpappy has a point, even though he worded it very strangely. Those that are running their vehicles on California roads are helping to pay for their maintenance through gasoline taxes. Seems fair to me.
Why don’t you wish to pay your share for road use?

You mean to tell me that those with little money are disadvantaged when it comes to buying stuff?
WHO KNEW?!?
So if gas taxes are lifted where should the government recover the lost revenue?
