Isn't that exactly what the house GOP does? They shot down the bi partisan border bill insisting the HR1 bill only Republicans drafted be used for the border bill. The minority trying to dictate to the majority, no?

I applied for a job with the diocese of Orlando, I was hired and went to work for a Catholic church near me. I told the administrator who was a nun, I no longer followed the religion. She asked me if I had been baptized, yes I replied. She then insisted I was still a Christian. So, you tell me, am I a Christian even though I don't believe in Christianity, your god or any god?

The left does still like Chritianity, when churches bend the knee to the state. The reason Christian membership is falling in America is because most churches have become nothing more than liberal gathering places with a cross on the wall. That is exactly what has happened to my church, the United Methodist Church. Our leadership waits to see what looney leftist fad takes hold and say "me too."

The people of America need a spiritual and moral revival. Despite the pathetic state our culture is in right now I'm optimistic. God will always preserve a rement of followers to preserve as the basis of a renewed community.

Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. The left has chosen to serve their new god, the state, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Yes. Sadly, a number of churches have pursued a quantity of congregation over a quality of congregation. That isn't new. A lot of churches have forgotten that their role is to influence and support society rather than to reflect society. That isn't new either. We often forget that loving one another doesn't mean that we always have to accede to incorrect pursuits.
