Who knew a fortnight ago that leaving the apparently obscure Euratom Treaty would jeopardise not only the UK nuclear industry, but also the supply of medical isotopes for cancer treatment?
Was everyone already aware that UK airlines like easyJet would need to set up in the EU27 and Ryanair might move its planes to EU27 countries due to the UK leaving the Open Skies Agreement?
For example, while we are becoming aware of the impact of leaving the Open Skies Agreement on the aviation market, few have spotted Brexit’s impact on aviation safety.
The UK does not have its own capacity to do things like certify maintenance facilities if it leaves the European Aviation Safety Agency. Yes, you heard that right. The UK won’t be able to certify the people that fix the planes. As with so many of these issues, the UK will either have to negotiate to remain in the agency (which is within the dreaded European Court of Justice’s jurisdiction), or establish its own capacity to replace what it does from a standing start in only 20 months.
As a British EU negotiator, I can tell you that Brexit is going to be far worse than anyone could have guessed | The Independent
Err pretty much everyone outside the UK it seems...
Yep, well those outside the UK and of course the experts in the UK, who were ignored by the masses.
Tick tock... any bets on that the UK does not have enough time to do that?
Total chaos in the UK government on Brexit, and in the mean time Liam Fox is starting to lay the ground for a UK - US trade deal, which is described as TTIP on steroids... but at least the UK wont be accepting chlorine chickens from the US..

If you thought chlorine-washed chicken was scary, wait until you see what else Liam Fox has planned for a UK-US trade deal | The Independent

The UK survived before the EU, they can and will survive without it via Brexit.
But they essentially have less than two years to figure out literally the entire country is going to function both domestically and internationally without EU institutions, things they have not had to do for decades. They essentially have to create anew bureaucracy for very important things from scratch.
They've had several hundred years of experience with independent governance, so I am fairly sure they won't starting from scratch. :coffeepap:

You're worried that the UK can't create bureaucracies! Lol, you shouldn't fret about that one, they are the Olympic medalists of bureaucracy creation.
False argument, the OP did not argue the UK "would not survive".The UK survived before the EU, they can and will survive without it via Brexit.
I am still figuring that BREXIT gets called off.
70% confidence and going up.

I have a feeling they will be stuck with a Norway type of situation. Most of the requirements of being in the EU, but no say about how it is run

Protip: Drop the straw-man arguments.
Actually his entire OP is about the trials and tribulations if the UK goes through with Brexit.
So the people now are hundreds of years old with all that experience?
They are starting from scratch on many issues. For one... trade. The EU has hundreds of trade agreements, which the UK will now not be part off. So they have to negotiate agreements across the planet. Problem is they dont have the manpower, let alone the experienced manpower to do that.. and they dont have time. They had a hard enough time finding people to represent them at the current EU negotiations, with many Brits with experience in international negotiations choosing either not or actually work for the EU in said negotiations.
Then there are all the agreements that the EU has made as being part of the EU.. such as the nuclear agreements, airline safety, environmental issues and so on and so on. Because the UK refuses anything to do with the European court system, then the UK has to leave them all.. putting them at a massive disadvantage because in most cases they literally have to recreate the wheel again.
Time is running down fast and we have yet to hear any real proposals coming out of the UK government..on anything.
Wrong... there is no if. Brexit is going to happen and these type of posts show how bad it can be.
Hmmm...not quite. They'll definitely have trade opportunities with the U.S.A., as well as all their old Dominion governments...Australia is just waiting for the openings.
That's not to mention the several hundred other nations around the world that are not E.U. members.
Yes yes.. but there are problems.
1) Australia has stated that any trade deal will require the free movement of peoples.. something the UK is against.
2) India has stated that any trade deal will require the free movement of peoples.. something the UK is against.
3) The US will demand the free movement of people and that the UK allow US goods like radiated chicken and drug infested beef and pork into the Uk... something the UK wont want.
And all of them have stated that, there will be no deal as long as the UK relationship to the EU is not clear.

Most of the city has removal plans in place, either to Ireland or direct to Frankfurt. "Letterbox" businesses not permitted.
