So long, farewell...

Founder and CEO of investigative journalism organization Project Veritas is reportely leaving the company he founded in 2011. This comes after some 16 staffers tried to oust him from leadership of his own company, claiming, among other things, that he was difficult to work for and once even stole a sandwich, resulting in a dispute within the Board of Directors.

Neil McCabe of OAN broke the story on Twitter, saying that O'Keefe delivered his resignation in person to his staff at their Mamaroneck, New York office.

I have to take serious issue with the representation that this blog made that O’Keefe changed the face of investigative journalism.

O’Keefe was never an investigative journalist. Much less a journalist of any kind.

He was a political dirty trickster who set up faked scenarios, passed himself off as someone else, shot secret video, and edited them to produce entirely misleading claims.

Investigative journalists to none of those things.

But Project Veritas, which is seldom really “veritas”, has think kind of dirty trick hit piece “journalism” at its core.

I've heard of bosses denying overtime pay but stealing a sandwich?! That's a new level of low.

No doubt, O'Keefe will claim he's the next Steve Jobs.

Good luck to you James, but better luck to all of us!
