Breaking: Israel launches 'preemptive strike' against Iran, declares state of emergency

Iran's Quds Force leader has been relocated to Israel

It turns out that he was a spy working for the Israelis

Hah!

Mossad has done a spectacular job. Beyond!

Well, I just mean, how mad could you possibly be, right? Sure, we knew about it, just not officially. I think these dictator lead countries are so used to power, and so secure in the grip on the country, they never believe they could actually lose it. Saddam Hussein refused to give in to our demands because he never thought we would follow through.

Maybe this will give the Iranian dictators a dose of reality and realize that the better path for them is no nukes, along with supreme power and wealth in their country. The other path is definitely not as good.

I can't make any sense in how your analogy translated to this.

Regardless, yes we knew - we were given at least a day's notice, perhaps a bit more.

As to your giving thanks to Israel, Israel kneecapped Trump's negotiations.

Pretty simple. Change in the ME balance of power. And the high probability that an Iranian Ayotollah would use them. With nukes all of Europe is well in range .
As to Pakistlan that is a red herring

How many Ayatollah’s have conducted suicide bombings themselves? How many times has Iran’s Ayatollah used WMD’s?

The ayatollah is an insane theocratic leader who believes death to the US and Israel is necessary to usher in an Islamic apocalypse.

"Preemptive strike"......thats a bullshit term that actually means "We attacked someone without real provocation."

I wish my brothers and sisters in Iran all the best and good luck! I'm rooting for you!

How exactly is he “insane”?

Why hasn’t he blanketed Israel in nerve agents then? He has the capability.

This. There is no indication Iran was planning any imminent anything against Israel. There was nothing to “pre-empt”.

Except that is completely untrue. Israel is not “fighting for its existence” in any way, shape or form.
This is one of the rare situations where there aren't any good guys at all.

Sit back and enjoy the show.

He does not. I have no doubt he has bags and bags of Sarin or VX hanging around, but he doesn't have suitable medium to long range delivery platforms.

So just like our theocratic nutcases, only with a different label on the tin.

They do. Iran has a stockpile of both VX and Sarin and their ballistic missiles can carry it.

They can target Israeli cities and wipe out the majority of the Israeli civilian population.

So why haven’t they if Iran is bent on destroying Israel at all costs?

Well, yes, but that's hardly "blanketing." Not the way we could do it, or Russia used to be able to do it.

And Sarin and VX don't last long in hot, dry climates. You get small areas of effect and low persistence. Assuming any gets through.

How many Iranian missiles have reached their target now?

Not even close.

If they could deliver it, I think they would.

They don’t need to last long or be persistent. The goal isn’t to disrupt military actions it’s to kill civilians. Civilians don’t have MOPP suits.

I ask you the same question I asked earlier: how many times has Iran used WMD’s?

About the same casualties in the long run as you'd get with conventional explosives, with more dead than wounded as you'd get with the regular stuff.

Against nuclear-armed opponents? None, as far as I know.

This is all beside the point. The Iranian regime is a collection of pirates and thugs. I don't care why someone punches them in the face, so long as they get punched.

And right now I am utterly unsympathetic to Israel. If they wind up kicking the shit out of each other, that sounds like their problem. My position is on the couch with a bowl of popcorn while bad people **** each other up.

Against anyone? Because Iran didn’t even use WMDs when WMDs were used against them first.

You're correct.

But that's neither here nor there. What is important is that two bad guys are punching each other.

Isn't this obvious? Israel could immediately raise the temperature in evey major Iranian city millions of degrees.

Also, as @Questerr has correctly pointed out, they didn't use them when they were in an existential war with an enemy that did.

But again, I don't consider that to be terribly important. What's important is that bad people are harming each other.

Not at all. The negotiations were going no where. Iran refused to give up their program. Green light to Israel.

Sounds like Israel didn't need anyone's green light.

I'm glad I'm not the only one harkening back to the Obama treaty.

I vociferously & assiduously criticized Trump's removal of it. And now, here we are,
Yup, let's not forget that, Obama put them on a path to nukes.
Thanks, Obama! Iran openly mocked him and declared that they would not stop their program. Trump slowed them down, but when Biden got in, it was full speed ahead again.
Thank God for Trump... with Kamala, they'd be putting the final touches on their brand new nuclear bombs. Israel, New York, and Washington D.C. bound.
