Seven year old info isn't news...

Mr Hamacek is only 50% right, yes we send a strong signal signal of support, but the diffident one

"
"We saw it as a sign of support and solidarity to the UK that has been targeted by those criminals," Mr Hamacek said.

"Obviously we would be very happy to see… [a] similar reaction from our allies."

Asked whether he would like the UK to consider expelling Russian diplomats over the depot blast, the minister said: "It would certainly send a strong signal of support, yes."

it will be the new EU/USA/UK sanctions for sure

Is that a YES or a NO?

What is the GRU known for today?

Sergun, in the post from 2011, had been placed on EU and US sanctions lists targeting top Russian officials after Russia's annexation of Crimea from Ukraine in 2014. The EU also held him "responsible for the activity of GRU officers" supporting rebels in east Ukraine's bloody conflict....
GRU did indeed mount operations in Ukraine and against the US Democrats, then they certainly achieved what were presumably their goals: the rebels retain control of their territory in east Ukraine to this day, and Hillary Clinton famously lost the 2016 election to Donald Trump.

Czechs say Moscow retaliation stronger than expected, seeks EU solidarity

Jan Hamacek, said he had asked other European Union foreign ministers during a video conference on Monday for "an expression of solidarity".

"The reaction (by Russia) is stronger than we had expected, it is more diplomats than the number of intelligence officers we expelled," Hamacek told a televised news conference.

"I will meet the prime minister and discuss if and when the Czech side may need to take some further steps."

fresh update from Slovakia

"Russian agents also operated in Slovakia. Expulsion would make things harder for Moscow

The Slovak secret service had been intrigued about how frequently he was changing his luxury cars. As a deputy of the then chief of the General Staff, Peter Vojtek, he had direct access to most classified information that Slovakia received as an ally from NATO and the European Union.

Months later, the police still had not charged the military officer. The results of the prosecution of sabotage and corruption remain unknown to this day. The only thing we know is that Oto Ch. quit working for the armed forces shortly after he was detained.

The Slovak government's Security Council will convene Tuesday, April 20, to discuss Slovakia's reaction in support of Czechia, including the option to expel Russian diplomats and agents.

Czechs expel more Moscow diplomats amid spying row

Dozens of staff at the Russian Embassy in Prague will have to leave by the end of next month. Moscow has vowed to respond swiftly to what it calls "unbridled Russophobia."
Czech Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhanek said Moscow would have until the end of May to withdraw 63 embassy employees, a move he said aimed to bring staff numbers in line with those at the Czech Embassy in Russia.

"We will put a ceiling on the number of diplomats at the Russian Embassy in Prague at the current level of our embassy in Moscow,"
