Possibly my favorite meal of the day, definitely the most important for me and a time for me to greet, relax and plan my day.
I need to have a great foundation and it starts with Oatmeal.
I celebrate the Oat and have been eating in the following way for many years.

- Oatmeal is a whole-grain food, a healthier option than sugary, processed breakfast cereals or toasted bread made from refined flour stripped of nutrients.
- The dietary fiber in oatmeal has a host of health benefits, especially if you include it as a regular part of your daily diet. Fiber-rich whole grains like oatmeal can reduce the risk of heart disease, lower cholesterol levels. Oatmeal can help you lose weight or maintain a healthy weight, because its fiber content makes you feel full without a lot of calories.
- The B vitamins in oatmeal include niacin, thiamine and riboflavin, all of which help maintain a healthy nervous system and regulate metabolism by assisting with your body's release of energy from carbohydrates, protein and fat. The B vitamin folate, too, plays a part in the nervous system and metabolism, while it also helps in the production of red blood cells. Iron is essential for carrying oxygen in the blood. Magnesium helps build bones and release energy from your muscles, while selenium aids with a healthy immune system and protects your cells from oxidation
