Brazilian Indians find plane survivors - CNN.com

Indigenous Indians located nine survivors of a plane that crashed in a river in the Amazon rain forest with 11 people onboard, according to the Brazilian air force.

I don't think they would have been found with out the Indigenous help. Sometimes with all our gadgetry we're overly confident in our abilities.

There is a whole area of our brain and capability we havent even opened. something that the simple tribal peoples of the world take for granted.

Are you saying there's something they have that we don't have? Besides them training their bodies much more than we do (we rely on machines!)

Yes they have a much more hiegthend intution (What Police officers call gut feeling), they can gather much more information with out as much obvious physical evidence.

Ah I see.

I think, though, that their intuition is adjusted to their environment. I've read anthropology reports dealing with "Forrest People" and it says that their perception outside of the forrest (plains, savannah, any open land) is almost non-existent. Some don't understand that the people they see, who are a mile away, aren't small people... but that they're far away.

in the dense forrest, everything is in your face.

But I agree other than that. We have shows like Survivor Man and we worship stories where people are able to survive (without technology) in zones where people have been surviving since our beginning.
