Brandon Judd: A red wave is rising – and the Democrats are powerless to stop it

"One of the things I do worry about sometimes among progressives in the United States, maybe it's true here as well, is a certain kind of rigidity where we say, "Uh, I'm sorry, this is how it's going to be," and then we start sometimes creating what's called a circular firing squad, where you start shooting at your allies because one of them is straying from purity on the issues."

Republicans will call any Democrat a socialist. They've been doing it for years. It's a standard tactic in their political playbook.

Which Democratic Presidential Candidate ISN'T a socialist?

LOL, Right, Medicare of all isn't socialist, the GREEN POLICY isn't socialism, just go out to the backyard and take money off that money tree. Keep running from reality as you and the other radicals always do because you have nothing positive to offer the American people that is affordable and not paid for by someone else

speaking of so called "socialism"...

whoops! LOL

So in your world we needed ACA to create insurance for pre existing conditions?

20+ million Americans can attest that we did indeed need the ACA for that.

We have been through the healthcare issue many times and still you don't get it, this is a personal responsibility issue best handled by the states.

Yes, many times you've been very clear you don't believe that at all when it comes to your own health care. Transitioning you over to Texas Medicaid would save us federal taxpayers a ton of money!

You're playing a losing hand, friend. Don't get too excited about that red wave if the plan is to run again on taking away people's health care.

Is that why the Democrats lost 60 seats in 2010? Why is it ACA left us with 10% uninsured? 10% of 330 million is 33 million Americans. That doesn't resonate with you

Rhetoric really resonates with you, but not results. Ask your parents of they are doing better today than the last year of Obama?

GDP Growth 2013 to 2018

2013 16784.9
2014 17521.7 736.8
2015 18129.3 607.6
2016 18707.2 577.9
2017 19485.4 778.2
2018 20494.1 1008.7

2016 GDP growth 1.6% vs 2.9% with those terrible tax cuts

Unemployment Rate 4.7% January 2017 vs. 3.8% today

Employed 152 million January 2017 to 157 million today

U-6 in January 2017 9.3% vs 7.3% today?

Part time for economic reasons, 5.7 million January 2017 vs. 4.4 million today?

African American unemployment 7.7% vs. 6.7% today?

Remember those wonderful Obama years leaving Trump with a 1.6% GDP growth, declining GDP dollars and let's not forget adding 9.3 trillion to the debt with much of that gov't spending in those GDP numbers

Is that why the Democrats lost 60 seats in 2010?

2010 was a long time ago, bub. If the plan is to re-hash "repeal and replace" for the fifth time, I think folks are pretty aware at this point that the emperor has no clothes.

I'm just wondering why Republican presidential candidate and now president Donald Trump lied when he promised to take care of everyone.

That is all we are going to get from the left as they have been indoctrinated so well that rhetoric trumps results. These people ignore the leadership of the Democratic Party, multi millionaires who want to keep power and to do so they create dependence. It is a shame to see so many so poorly informed and educated
Agreed.

Don't know why you believe any President would take care of you? Never relied on a President to take care of me, only to provide for the common defense and promote economic growth and activity. Trump has done both as results matter not rhetoric

Why did Obama lie to you when he said you could keep your doctor and your healthcare plan when millions lost theirs? Your double standards are noticed and based solely on rhetoric.

Obama told you what you wanted to hear, you liked Obama therefore you ignored the lies and scandals

So you admit Trump is a lying fraud. That's a start.

Yes and yet you have to overcome the 33 million uninsured and the following results

1. GDP Growth 2013 to 2018

2013 16784.9
2014 17521.7 736.8
2015 18129.3 607.6

Didn't realize Trump has changed his name to Obama. Look,, stop baiting and either respond to the posts or stop posting completely. you are embarrassing yourself which isn't surprising

someone's being embarrassed here, but it isn't me.

Nobody cares about your copy and pasted and debunked talking points. Your cesspool of a political party and corrupt president will be thrown out of power, very possibly sooner than later, and there is NOTHING you can do about it. So continue to whine and repeat the same tired old tripe you repeat over and over again, in every thread. Most people will continue to sit back and laugh at your desperation.
Sounds like you have a seriously bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). In today's "liberal" Social Services atmosphere, you may qualify for an SSI check as a result.

Just think, "free" money, courtesy of the taxpayer! Isn't that wonderful? [emoji16]

Most of which is because the ACA left too much control in the hands of states, many of which are quite bad at finding ways to offer affordable coverage to their residents. On one side of the spectrum you've got Massachusetts, which has the lowest individual market premiums in the country and the lowest uninsurance rate. On the other side, you've got Texas.

Obama (you know, the Obamacare guy) won twice. And the Dems just won the biggest midterm margin in the highest turnout midterm election in history running on health care.

2020 here we come.

Like I said, enjoy running on taking away people's health care. That's a real winner.

Right 40 seats in 2018 beats 60 seats in 2010 plus GOP Senate gains, liberal math and logic

Dems received 60 million votes in 2018, Republicans 46 million in 2010. 2010 turn out was low for the Dems. 2018 turn out was at record high's for both parties, and you guys got crushed. But if bringing 2010 up makes you feel better...go right ahead. I guess 2010 is your safe space from reality now?

Bud, GOP House candidates pulled in 44M votes in 2010.

Dem House candidates pulled in over 60M in 2018.

It's not even close.

The best reason ever to vote for a democrat is they aren't Trump.

it's unfortunate that this is still a main selling point. however, i'll be doing that too.

Bud, that is absolutely irrelevant, some ran unopposed or with little opposition, there was no reason to vote in those case and as the article stated and you ignored, we didn't have these results nor the Mueller report. You really are married to the liberal ideology and the belief that everyone else should pay for your personal responsibility issues

Of course you will because the grass is always greener on the other side until you get there. which of the following results are Democrats going to make better? As stated, there is NO reason to vote for a Democrat running for President. Multi millionaire Democrats who indoctrinate well
