Boy Scouts history on gay scout leaders

Under pressure by the PC police and increasing corporate bans, in 2015 the Boy Scouts of America changed its policy to allow gay scout masters.

5 years later (this year), the 110 year old Boy Scouts of America had to file bankruptcy due to all the lawsuits by former Boy Scouts claiming they were sexually assaulted by their scout masters.

It wasn't heterosexual scout masters that so often assaulted the boys it forced the Boy Scouts into bankruptcy.

Another joko thread from alternate reality... Why don't you tell us whether vast majority of those sexual assaults happened before or after 2015.

You see this in the Catholic Church, boy scouts, etc.

So where is the proof saying only the gay scout masters were to blame? Seems to me there were cases of molestation in boy scouts long before gay men were accepted.

Also, the boy scouts are bankrupt because nobody wants to join anymore. Boys play video games now, they aren't interested in learning how to tie their shoes in the most complex way possible. You can blame society for not forcing boys to stay interested, but the scouts haven't done anything to appeal to younger audiences, nor have they done a good job preventing sexual assault cases throughout their history.

Like you said, they had a 110 year run. Who cares if a century old nature club famous for diddling children bites the dust?

False and false. Heterosexuals men did not sexually abuse boys. The reason for the bankruptcy is specifically due to lawsuits regarding sexual assault - not low membership.

BSA has a membership problem, not a litigation problem. And it started when the mormon church took it over.

Why? The topic is was allowing homosexual scout masters a good idea? If secret gay scout masters had been sexually assaulting boys for decades that only serves to explain why the answer is no.

You do realize that you're arguing against yourself? If all those assaults were committed by "secret gay scout masters," then a policy change 5 years ago didn't make any difference.

First, your OP was clearly implying that 2015 decision was what led to the bankruptcy. That was clear misrepresentation of events.

Secondly, if the lawsuits you reference are the cause of bankruptcy, then clearly 2015 decision had nothing to do with it. They would have filed for bankruptcy either way (since lawsuits were unrelated to 2015 decision).

In other words ...

You haven't proven anything. Clearly having gay scout masters and staff was a terrible mistake and it destroyed the Boy Scouts.

Sure they do......a large percentage are fathers, step-fathers, uncles, cousins, grandfathers, and family friends.

No, it did not take it over. It dropped out when the Boy Scouts announced they would have gay scout masters. That cost 400,000 boy scouts. Combine that with hundreds of lawsuits over sexal abuse ended the Boy Scouts. It is simple fact that allowing gay scout masters and staff destroyed the Boy Scouts however you size it up.
