Boston braces for a far-right rally

You weren't there apparently or you were and you're lying.

You Trumpsters would know all about telling porkies, the Liar in Chief sets a great example for the deplorables. Boston pride baby !! Have a great and peaceful day!!

I find it weird that a person, supposedly at the rally right now, is posting here.
I mean it's entirely plausible that they could of showed up, but I've yet to see any evidence of it.

Of course we see a **** ton of people going around calling everyone right of Marx a nazi, so that possibility is fairly wide (obvious exaggeration, but not by much).

You find simple multi tasking to be weird? Guess what, lots of people can walk down a barricaded street, and text. Perhaps for you it would be a challenge, and "weird".

I am disquieted by the level of hysteria and propagandist degree to which normally reliable media are modifying information. Parts of the population are extremely polarized, nervous and irrational. Sociologically it will probably remain stable, but the perceived cumulative invasive attack on Constitutional rights confronted with a large 'society owes me' liberal movement does hold an explosive potential. I don't think that the possibility of real civil unrest can be excluded.

Greetings, joG. :2wave:

:agree: and that is what I find very distressing! Ironically, I just finished reading a book titled 1900 - the last President, which was given to me as a gift by a friend who knows I am interested in politics, about the election of 1896. If this book is not just an elaborate hoax, the similarities between that year and what is happening today is downright frightening! 1. A large portion of the population believed that "society owes me;" and 2. wealthy politicians and bankers were to blame for the nation's poor underclass! There were many riots, and thousands did travel to DC, many on foot, to demand immediate relief, or else!

FWIW, I sincerely hope that this book is just an elaborate political hoax, whenever it was written, for all our sakes!

****ing pathetic.
A young guy draped in an Israel flag was leaving, people calling him racist, screaming at him.
This isn't how things are supposed to be.
The took his hat off his head and threw it.

Were they neo nazis?

Well, seems the only violence...the only arrests...were antifa.

They are the good guys, right?

Your post is really ironic.

What kind of Americans do you think are owed something? What do those Americans think they are owed?

I'm saying that freedom means the freedom to burn the flag (which I think is despicable). It also means that when somebody says, "It should be a moral duty for Americans to oppose nazis and practice their free speech too," my knee jerks at the "should be."

I agree with what you're saying about burning a flag, but a flag is not a person. Neo nazis are dangerous to certain groups of people.

As a person who values freedom and believes in God, a God who created all races of people, I have a moral obligation to oppose racist hate groups. I feel that other decent Americans should feel that same sense of duty.

How does that make your knee twitch? I am not saying we should oppose nazis with violence or violate their freedoms. So why is your knee twitching?

Police should respect everybody's freedom of speech and arrest only violent offenders. I am assuming those people deserved to be arrested until I see otherwise.

The cops did a good job. They should be applauded. There was no violence reported as of yet, and nobody was hurt. You should be a proud American right now. This shouldn't be about political opportunism. Today should be seen as an affirmation as to why America is a great country.

Are you getting urine bottles ready for the next one?

Told ya all. very peaceful protest, looking forward to the next one !!

Actually, there WAS violence reported. There was nothing to applaud except the behavior of the free speech folks.

Did you catch the loosers in the white robes, now there was a pic !!

Umm what losers in robes, what guys with swasticas, I watched the events and have pretty much concluded you are a liar, no such video evidence backs your claims.

I guess we are now at the point where some people hallucinate nazis if real ones are not there cuz they need something to oppose or better yet a reason to justify protesting and violence against anyone right of center.

There was a point when antifa tried to corner and assault someone, and the other counter protesters ended up pulling him into their group to protect him, seems even the left wing protestors were against violence, and the only two groups promoting it were blm and antifa, with antifa the only one actually going forward with it.

Since last weekends flash up, both the Mayor and Boston Police Commisoner have been very vocal about the cities low tolerance for violence, from all sides. A very heavy police precense, as expected. Boston pride !!

There are actually just regular people and religious groups out there counter-protesting. That deserves attention and respect. Where my family is from, opposing nazis is a moral duty. It should be a moral duty for Americans to oppose nazis and practice their free speech too.

So long as said Americans aren't violating constitutionally guaranteed rights and acting like street thugs, sure.
