On (somewhat of) a lighter note, anyone familiar with James Bond?
I've been thinking about this for awhile.
The next Bond film, now temporarily titled Bond 23 will likely be released in 2010 or 2011. Of course, there has been large talk about locations in the U.S. and especially New York, and Bond fans everywhere hotly debate it.
The latest film, Quantum of Solace, took on subjects like Latin American communism, oil, natural resources, all subjects that are very relevant today. Bond films seem to do this a lot, they cover things that are going on currently in the world and make it an interesting story. I love it.
This got me thinking about whether Bond in the Middle East would be topical or contaversial. I wonder if putting Bond in the Middle East (if the villain is Middle Eastern, or Bond's enemies are from the region) would spark debate or whether it would be considered appropriate. What do you think?
