Hey if you think that's OK then move to Cuba, bye bye.:2wave:
They just want to believe this so badly...
But keep rooting for President Biden if it makes you feel better.
It is called you have no idea because no law was actually broken. Feel free to provide the federal code and prove it. I have already shown the IRS is completely within their right in regards to charitable organizations to evaluate their applications and use financial information provided by their applicants to do so. It is not illegal for the IRS to ask for that information, but it would be wrong for them to share it with the general public. Sort of like how the hospital can have your medical records, but they cannot hand them out to others.
You are still wrong.
You don't know about ethics laws do you? Those laws that govern federal employees are taken very seriously. You can go to jail for breaking them. Being intentionally impartial while handling legal matters is an ethics violation.
read up on the restrictions of section 501 (c) and part 4 and you will find that it is completelyu within the abilities of the IRS to do so. The only thing in question is whether they applied their abilities poorly, not illegally. What they did was still well within the law, and boehner knows it which is why you will never see criminal convictions for this.
But time will tell with boehner. I am sure you will forget about the trash talk that will never come to much. But feel free and prove me wrong and tell me exactly what charges the people will be facing. That will include the criminal statute that they will be charged with in court. They will not be charged with an amendment. They will not be charged with discrimination. They will be charged with a crime. Crimes have specific statutes which they will reference. Those are the specific laws which are broken. They have legal definitions which the prosecution will have to prove the defendant violated. I want those definitions. if you cannot provide them then it is all a lot of bluster.
Then quote the law where it applies to the IRS and what they have claimed to do. Do not tell me there is a law that is out there that you know of that you cannot look up and tell us about. Laws created are public domain and are well referenced in multiple online references. These are not hidden things that cannot be referenced. If you want an actual answer to your claims, no i do not trust your knowledge. I do not trust you are well educated, nor do i even think of you in a neutral fashion. Your knowledge is faulty from what i have seen and therefor you will need to reference something factual like the actual law if you want me to believe you.
So please do go on and show us how well educated you are and show us the actual law you are speaking of.
Way to go Boner, I have been wondering this myself. These people in the IRS have messed with the underlying trust we are supposed to have in the IRS and using the dept for political purposes should get you jail time. Not only that but if threatened with incarceration tongues would loosen up and we might find out how high up this goes.
"Speaking about the Internal Revenue Service's targeting of conservative political groups, House Speaker John Boehner on Wednesday said "clearly someone violated the law" and questioned who would be put in prison for the agency's actions. "My question isn't about who's going to resign, my question is, who is going to jail?" Boehner said at a press briefing with Republican leaders. President Barack Obama on Tuesday night said some IRS employees failed to be impartial in their work and that they must be held accountable."

Yes, revise the tax code. But even more important, see to it that the IRS doesn't exercise any Obamacare authority.

May not knowingly solicit or discourage the political activity of any person who has business before the agency
APDST answered all these questions last night. The fact that you want to defend what the IRS did here speaks volumes about you. You are possibly farther left than anyone on this forum.
7) Your article is as ignorant as most people here about taxes.
3) The IRS actually is too small and underfunded. Roughly around $500 billion annually is not reported to the IRS. Meaning, if we had a sufficiently staffed and funded IRS, we essentially could have avoided deficits for the past decades. Audits of individuals have significently declined over time yet fraud has almost certainly increased. What we are seeing is similar to what happened to the SEC. Lack of funding and lack of staff let all kinds of **** through and we pay for it in the end. The simple answer is to actually fund and staff the collection agency that is the IRS.
If the IRS had targeted liberal groups during the Bush admin, we would still be hearing about it today.
In 2004, the NAACP was hit with an audit over accusations of improper political activity for criticizing the Bush administration. Where was the outrage from the Right Wing then????

Regardless if it was back in 2004 or today, somebody should see jail time. Even if it is targeting a group that I really don't care about. They have rights just like me. But lets not sit here and act like this is the first time this has happen.

Are you claiming that the right wing doesn't care if the IRS is used for illegal purposes?
We're not talking about audits. If it were just a matter of audits, it would be perfectly leagal.
Only if it is against their group. Lets not be naive here. Both sides do this for political gain. In 2004, the dems were the ones outrage and the right just kept quiet about it. Now today it is the GOP's turn to throw snot and cry and the dems are trying to down play it.
I was outrage back in 2004 and I am outrage today. We shouldn't have party affiliation in all aspects of our life. Somebody should have went to jail back then and somebody should go to jail now.
Just my opinion.
You can not isolate groups in a partial way regardless if it is the tea party or the NAACP. That is illegal !!!!!

Only if it is against their group.
Ultra  boner whose entire career is being bought by corporations to back subsidies at taxpayer expense trying to get it up by blaming the IRS.
There needs to be a separate forum for anyone who believe the speaker is actually serious.
If there is a charge of wrong doing, the IRS is perfectly within it's authority to conduct an audit.
If there's any real evidence that it's political motivated, you would be right. In the case of NAACP, there was a charge and that charge was followed up on. How many other black NFP's were auditted at the same time, simply because of their race, or politics?
So, your position is: it doesn't matter what the IRS does because republicans are scumbags?
