Bloomberg in 2nd place on predictit

If Bloomberg endorses Mayor Pete, I think he's got a real shot, because that means Pete will get Bloomberg resources. I don't think Pete gives Bloomberg much since Pete's ground game will just be merged into the DNC if they choose Bloomberg anyway. I think a Bloomberg/Oprah tix is a 100% winner.

I think Bloomberg would add a centrist US Senator to his ticket.

I think Oprah is too prominent to be VP.

He usually does well in debates. At least as well as the rest of the candidates.

The problem is these debates aren't really debates, they're more of an entertainment show.

I think that would piss off a lot of the base. I've heard lots of Democrats saying that this is the year to be bold and go pretty hard left.

That's true. But the presidential debates aren't going to be focused on policy anyway. They're going to be a **** show. A Bloomberg/Pence debate would be really interesting though.

Seems like a lot of Dems, Moderates and GOP are warming up to Mike. Pair him with Amy, Stacey, Pete, Cory and he might be the guy.

I would be among them....

The most important thing this year is to get rid of Trump. IMHO, its not the year to be overly idealistic. It's too risky a play. Now, I say that as a centrist.

Every election has 3 components: 1) turn out your base; 2) don't put up someone the encourages the other party to turn out their base and 3) win the middle. The success formula is found in the right balance of those three ingredients. I am concerned that too left a candidate will accomplish #1 at the expense of #2 and #3.

The Republicans already have this problem: they are likely to turn out their base, while encouraging the Democrats to turn out their base in defense. Fortunately the Republican base is smaller than the Democratic base, with most indications that the independents will generally be with the Democrats

I am against Bloomberg for a number of reasons. His using money to buy the presidency is repulsive.

But even I have to admit he could be a 'good' president as far as most candidates are concerned, though he has a serious flaw by being a plutocrat, and he's trying to defeat a far better candidate; and that his ads are very effective. Hopefully, voters pick Bernie. If Bloomberg somehow did win - he could be an impressive president in some ways. And we need money out of politics.

I've long said that it doesn't have to matter how much money a candidate has. Some poor candidates are complete servants to the rich, and some rich candidates fight for the poor.

Bloomberg is no JFK, but he has good points, assuming he's not simply lying. The issue isn't their money, it's the role the money is allowed to have. We need to fix that. Let Bloomberg win in an honest competition, not a media and money-driven opinion control experiment.

It's time to send the federal police en mass into black neighborhoods to throw blacks against the wall and search them. As he explained that's where all the criminals are. We need a strong president who will have everyone in any group he decides are criminals thrown against the wall and into prison, right?

I am of a like mind, but God help you if you say that to the wrong Democrat. And God rest your soul if you tell those same Democrats that you're open to a third party candidate.

I normally believe the 3rd party vote is the strongest vote you can make (essentially declaring the two major party candidates are inadequate).... this time around, however, I think the stakes are much too high --- Fred Flintstone (D) or Mickey Mouse (d) gets my vote before Trump or anyone else.

I definitely won't be voting for Trump unless it's to eliminate him from this reality game show hell we're in, but I won't commit to a Democrat before the nominee is selected either.

Bloomberg can beat Trump.

Bernie can not.

How many Ds want 4 more years of Trump/his judges/his DOJ/etc?

A huge swath of Bernie supporters would stay home rather than vote for a multi Billionaire
like Bloomberg. IMO Bernie will lead but not have the 50% of delegates to lock things up on the
first ballot & on the 2nd ballot super delegates will enter the fray & try to take the nomination
away from Bernie, presumably Bloomberg would be the beneficiary of that scenario.

Of the 65 million likely Democrat voters Bernie support 30% will be 20 million. 1/2 of them
10 million will be so pissed that they'll either not vote or vote for Trump. Bloomberg getting
the nomination on the 2nd ballot will be the catastrophe the dems were hoping tp avoid.

Trump wins 35 states a attain a victory in landslide territory

One hopes they get their head out of their ass and VOTE TRUMP!

So you support the billionaire who wants to buy the presidency now?

I don't necessarily support Bloomberg, but it would be interesting (and hilarious), if Bloomberg beat Trump at his own game. And he's actually ruthless enough to do it.

Yeah, they lack the obvious intellectual capacity of the clown show Trump and the rest of the GOP goons put up in the 2015/2016 GOP primaries, eh?

Wanna make a bet on that?;)

I wouldn't know why Bloomberg spending his own money to buy an election is any different than a super PAC buying an election

I think Tammy Duckworth is the VP ticket winner, Asian, purple heart awesome military career, senator from Illinois, double leg amputee.

How does one buy an election when people vote?

You’re scared of Bloomberg enough to put your lies into my mouth, Fletch.

I support Bloomberg building the digital apparatus that he’s currently building to match that of Brad Parscale and the RNC.

I support Bloomberg shoving his billions up trump’s ass to end this Gestapo regime before it’s too late.

trump is a bigly CLOT going through the brains of his cult and and the heart of America. Corrupt Lying Obstructionist Traitor.

I certainly support Bloomberg supporting whoever the Democratic candidate is.

You better pray it isn’t a ticket of Sherrod Brown/Amy Klobuchar to win back the Midwest.

:screwy

I dont know that much about Bloomberg or how he will govern because he has done any campaigning. Hes been running ads in Ohio for a month and our primary is more than a month away. According to his ads, hes a wonderful man. According to you hes a 'ruthless' billionaire. LIke him or not, Trump has a massive base of support. Bloomberg just has massive piles of money. I suspect it will take more than the 'I will vote for anyone over Trump' vote to actually beat him

Why should I? The sports books have Trump as the overwhelming favorite $190 to win $100. Over a year ago
when Maddow would have Schiff as a guest on her show & they were gleefully predicting Mueller had Trump
in his crosshairs & their discussion revolved when Trump would resign was the time I made my bet.
$100 on Trump to win $285.
