More bad news for the Demos and Quinn. Not only does Rauner have the endorsement of all the major Newspapers in the state. He is even being supported by the black community. Illinois is all lit up with signs for Rauner all over the place. It has never been like this. Looks like these Black Ministers have figured out about those Democrats and all those intentions.

A group of Chicago-area black ministers announced Monday they are supporting Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner in the upcoming election.

The ministers, who have traditionally voted for Democrats, say the promises made four years ago by Gov. Pat Quinn have not been addressed. “Are we better off today than we were five years ago? The answer is no,” Dr. Willie Nelson said.

“Bruce, we’re going to give you our trust. And I know you’re going to prove faithful, just like you always have,” Pastor Corey Brooks said.....snip~

The Pastor Corey Brooks was even threatened for endorsing Rauner.....someone even stole money from his Church. All intimidation tactics due to him voting Republican this time round. He even says he has had to move his family to a safe house.

Pastor: Chicago church robbed because of support of GOP.....

A high-profile African-American surrogate for Illinois gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner says his church was the target of a politically-motivated robbery over the weekend. Brooks, who has appeared in a political advertisement backing Rauner, says he received threatening messages by phone and over social media on Friday because of his support of the venture capitalist Rauner. In one audio recording that Brooks shared with WGN-TV, a caller left an expletive filled message in which she called "Uncle Tom" and Rauner's "puppet."

"It's is unfair that a person does not have a right to voice their opinion and speak about who they want to support, and that some people still feel you have got to stay on this Democratic plantation," Brooks said. "If you choose to leave it or go off it, we will attack you.".....snip~

Quinn also weighed in, calling the alleged threats wrong.

Interesting.

Hey, Quinn didn't deliver on his promises and they should decline to support him.

Yeah, and as you seen he has a bit of trouble with Ethics going into the last week.

Still they were saying Quinn is carrying like 85% of the black vote.

Course now using these voter intimidation tactics works with those down in the heart of the city......well, sometimes!

This just doesn't happen, they must be a group of Uncle Toms.

They use to vote Democrat.....there is a coalition of them that did come out and endorse Quinn. But then Quinn was hit with his ethics problem. Illinoisans are tired of one party rule. Including Chicagoans.

I'll believe that when they get rid of Rahm.

Madigan, and then Jesse Jackson. Time for Jesse to learn what it is like to actually work and live off of his own money.

Madigan is the power in Illinois. Even Rahm, has to kiss Madigan ass.

I've read several different accounts of black ministers breaking away from the Democratic party over a number of issues. The organization called the Black Republican often highlights such things. There seems to be a growing number of black ministers who are calling for an exodus from the Democratic party. One reason is the Democrats support for same sex marriage. Another is the breakdown of the black family where 70% of their babies are born out of wedlock and blacks hold one of the highest abortion rates. These ministers in part blame government dependency for this situation promoted by the left. They claim it takes away the incentive for marriage when a child can be raised through government programs. They claim that so many born to single moms without a father present in the child's life has led to the high imprisonment of black males.

Do you have some sources?

I'm interested in verifying this claim. Not specifically that black church leaders are supporting some Republicans, we know they are. I am interested in verifying the reasons that you give. In the case that is linked to here the reason given is that the incumbent has failed and the challenger has promised to look out for their interests, nothing is mentioned about same sex marriage, breakdown of black family, blaming the government, etc.

In 2012 when the Democratic party endorsed same sex marriage at their convention along with President Obama, an outcry in protest from the Black community arose. Here is one such video calling for a breaking away of a party that does not share their moral values. This minister not only mentions same sex marriage but the damage that abortion has done to the black community also heavily supported by the Democratic party.

Like I mentioned earlier, you can search the archives of the Black Republican association for such commentary or do your own search on YouTube. It's out there. You may also want to check Thomas Sowell's articles which he has extensively written on the issue of the destruction of the Black family directly linked to government and programs associated with the Democratic party as well as other prominent Black commentators. More and more Black pastors are coming out making the same claims as they deal with the aftermath of such policies on Black families first hand.

That's a lifelong Republican activist who happens to be black trying to convince Democrat black church leaders to switch parties. Not exactly what I was looking for. Anything else?

No he isn't a "lifelong Republican activist". For a good part of his adult life he was a Democrat who served in the Marines and became a minister. It's when the Democratic party started supporting issues he found to be in violation of his own conscience, he switched sides. But Martin Luther King was a life long Republican and a black minister too. I doubt very much he would be a supporter for Same Sex Marriage and abortion either. I doubt he would see the out of wedlock birthrate at 70% among blacks acceptable or appreciate the rhetoric out of the Democrat party during an election cycle that Republicans want to put Blacks back in chains. In fact I have no doubt he would be appalled at the effort to use the civil rights movement as a means to justify same sex marriage. There are more and more black ministers being vocal about their disdain for the Democratic party. YouTube has several such interviews and such posted. And ironically this increase became apparent in 2012 when the first black president endorsed same sex marriage a huge flip flop from his campaign days of 2008.

CrabCake, found another video today fresh off the press of black folks expressing their disgust with the Democratic Party. From not upholding their moral values to using them like pawns at every election time and keeping them poor.
