A multimillion dollar measure to fund the Obama Presidential Library has passed a hurdle in Springfield. The bill slid through an Illinois House committee Wednesday, despite Republican opposition.
Republicans want the library, but believe it should be paid through private funds. If the whole general assembly approves the bill, the measure would use $100 million of taxpayer money.

Other States are bidding for his Library.....Hawaii and New York. Wonder how New Yorkers feel about it costing them at a Minimum of a 100 mil win the bid. At least Illinois and Hawaii BO can call home. Also.....would it even be worth the 100 mil.
Should Illinois taxpayers be on the hook for $100 million to bring an Obama Presidential Library and Museum to Chicago?
