Bill O’Reilly has been forced out of his position as a prime-time host on Fox News, the company said on Wednesday, after the disclosure of multiple settlements involving sexual harassment allegations against him. His ouster brings an abrupt and embarrassing end to his two-decade reign as one of the most popular and influential commentators in television.

After a thorough and careful review of the allegations, the company and Bill O’Reilly have agreed that Bill O’Reilly will Not be returning to the Fox News Channel,” 21st Century Fox, Fox News’s parent company, said in a statement."..."

Good.

First Ailes, then O'Reilly. Hannity would make it a perfect trifecta. Bonus points if Shep Smith brings the charges!

Well, there goes a crazy right wing fanatic. Who'll miss him???

Fox's prime time lineup isn't looking quite as "prime time" as it did not too long ago. Their ratings are sure to suffer.

Well, they can always bring in some other Right Wing god/addict like Limbaugh.

As far as I know, Hannity has not been accused of sexual harassment .. although his defending of Ailees and O'reilly on twitter makes him look like a hypocrite. But he already did look like one. There is one thing having idiots.. there is another having a legit reason to fire.

Why would anyone miss this crazy delusional mentally unbalanced right wing fanatic when they will replace him with another crazy delusional mentally unbalanced right wing fanatic designed to appeal to all the crazy delusional mentally unbalanced right wing fanatics who make up their base?

Get ready to cue the WHO when that replacement is named and he is just as described..... "meet the new boss, same as the old boss".

My gut says Dana Perino will get temporary fill-in.

Watters is hopeless. Baer is too important as anchor. Hannity has his show. And Carlson just doesn't strike me as really the right stuff - though he's in similar vein - so I'll give him a possibility and put him as first runner-up.

It would be awesome in O'Reilly ended up on RT.

Chris Wallace maybe?

I see the possible making here of a Trump TV Triumvirate - Ailes, O'Reilly, (and perhaps) Bannon!

If not Bannon, perhaps Hannity. Hannity would jump I bet. Bannon, would be questionable given his somewhat fall-out within the administration, but he'd jump to I'm sure.

Well in TV the only legit reason they need that you either have low ratings or are toxic to advertisers.

Hannity doesn't qualify on either of those. yet

Buh-bye, Billbo

O'Reilly's next book is surely going to be pure defensive propaganda ...

Compared to the rest of Fox's Prime Time lineup, O'Reilly was a voice moderation.

Now now, don't kill the moment.......................OH you ruined it :(

That would be a great idea but the Corporate Class Propagandizers wont pay the bills, so who would fund it?

Doesn't bother me one way or the other as I don't want watch partisan political talk shows. Fox, MSNBC or what have you. All are bad in my opinion for the nation. Not for so much what they espouse, but that so many Americans think they are actually getting the news instead of political propaganda that Joseph Goebbels would be proud of.

When one goes, another just comes in to take his place. For the better or worse, who knows. People watch Fox and its talk shows because they want to hear a conservative point of view on everything. Just like people watch MSNBC and CNN talks shows because they want to hear a liberal point of view on everything. Honesty and the truth has no place in these talk shows.

But the networks are free to air them, people are free to listen and watch them. Those who choose to watch them in my opinion don't need to political propaganda they dish out, they have already been brainwashed.

Quite fascinating... I wonder where the axe will fall next?

I'm sure O'Reilly will end up somewhere else, though my guess is that his next employer will include the mother of all morals clauses in the contract.

Those poor ladies having to tolerate that BS at work, ol slap head Hannity may get Bills old spot.

Oh my god, how can I go on living! :boohoo:

I can't stand Hannity. But for reasons I can't explain, he just doesn't seem to me to be in the Ailes/O'Reilly mold in these matters.

But who knows, with Fox?

Fox let Ailes promote an overt culture of "sex sells", and it came back to bite them. Good for them!
