So, in senior English class we are reading Truman Capote's In Cold Blood. I was a little behind on my reading, so before school where I wait for the bell to ring I was reading the book. Someone asked what I was reading and I told them. They preceded to ruin the ending of the book with three words.

WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS?!

I got very emotional and angry and struck this individual with a projectile (my backpack). The ending of a book is what makes it all worthwhile.

I agree, but my mom? She reads the last few pages of every book before she decides if she's gonna read it.

True story.

How dare she? That's a sin, isn't it? Isn't that a commandment of the bible?

11. "Thou shalt not ruin ending of a book, movie, or otherwise entertaining story where the ending is vital to the plot"

I've done this twice by complete accident.

I was having a conversation with a girl at work about the Harry Potter series (not one specific book) and I talked about the ending...of the second to last book. Well, I guess she was still reading that one. She was super pissed but I only felt a little bad since it had come out two years ago and she hadn't told me she was reading it.

Then my sister was reading the New Moon series and called me all excited that she finished the third book. Well...for some reason I thought that was all there were and started talking about everything that happened in the last book. She didn't talk to me for a week.

So yeah. I'd hate it too if someone did it to me!
