Biden to give first Press Conference....today.

Is there any right-wing garbage that you people won't parrot?
Nope. The best they do is say nothing at all when the issue is too egregious even for them. The Capitol riot stands out. There were a significant number of crickets on that one especially as it related to Trump's blatant role in it. Yet they would gladly vote for him again.

Maybe the same group who orchestrated and organized the great "election steal", add that to the puppet master theory and you could have a really, really good conspiracy theory worthy of Tucker or Hannity. I imagine you can name these leftist extremists.

  • Xavier Becerra - health and human services secretary
    • https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...d-biden-nominees-and-appointments/ar-BB1dH6wV
    • “a true radical on abortion” by Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas
    • his views on the lightning-rod issues of abortion, universal healthcare, immigration, and coronavirus lockdowns are likely to face the strongest probes.
    • “What Becerra lacks in public-health experience,” Cotton wrote last month, “he makes up for in enthusiasm for his party’s most radical views.”
    • Becerra “doesn’t really have experience in Health and Human Services other than the fact that he had a big lawsuit against a group out in California and was a heavy campaigner for ‘Medicare for all,’”
  • Wendy Sherman - Sherman, who Biden has selected for the number two position at the State Department
  • Anita Dunn – former Obama administration officials joining Biden’s administration
    • - The third lesson and tip actually come from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Zedong and Mother Teresa," Dunn said during a June 2009 commencement address at St. Andrew’s Episcopal High School in Washington, D.C.
    • viewed with trepidation even by Democrats, not only because she claims to bear grudges for the president “like an Irishman.” Others have balked at her assertion that Mao Tse-tung was “one of her favorite philosophers.”
    • She assisted disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein before the New York Times revealed numerous instances of sexual abuse by Weinstein.
    • This week, with other top White House officials, she coordinated the administration’s response to a senior press aide who had threatened a reporter.
  • Vanita Gupta - associate attorney general
    • NAACP, ACLU, SPLC
    • President Biden has nominated a liberal activist who supports defunding the police and brings to the job her experience leading a left-wing dark money group,”
      https://www.westernjournal.com/cons...ign-pull-back-curtain-bidens-dark-money-ties/
    • part of a group of civil rights leaders who met virtually with Zuckerberg, urging him to crack down on voter suppression ahead of November's election and take action against President Trump's violent threats about the protests in Minnesota. "We were stunned about the different interpretations about what voter suppression really means and looks like in this era," Gupta told Protocol this summer, referring to that meeting. "The company has not been sufficiently enforcing the policies because of the fundamental disagreement around what constitutes voter suppression."

    • In June of 2020, as Black Lives Matter protests took to the streets to fight race inequality in America, Gupta delivered a forceful testimony calling for ‘shrinking the footprint of the criminal legal system in Black and brown peoples’ lives’.

The ones with the circles were the "friendly" reporters who had their questions pre-approved. Can't have any "surprises", now can we? Gotta make sure he gets those softballs.
Of course. And a couple of times he indicated he even knew the question that was coming.

There is a Law & Order episode that was repeated yesterday ...
"Ned Beatty shines in this episode as a judge who won't pack it in even though it is patently obvious that he's suffering Alzheimer's. His law clerk Sherry Stringfield has been propping him up and telling him what to do for years."
Tell me that doesn't sound like what's going on. Of course, Ned didn't have an entire Party and Media propping him up but he managed to keep his position for years too.

How is that different from Trumpers here claiming it was a liberal press lob balling President Biden easy, prescripted questions rather than discuss the issues?
Hang on ... are you suggesting that's not what happened? You're still hanging on to that fantasy? After 3 days?
Human tissue will die from lack of oxygen but even the ones that hang on a while are dead after 3 days.

Three big things stood out in President Biden’s first press conference.

  1. The leader of the free world is often lost at sea and says many things that are blatantly false.
  2. The media is in the tank and cannot be trusted to hold him accountable.
  3. Because of Nos. 1 and 2, America is headed for serious trouble.

eohrnberger,
We can argue how extreme these people really are but are you actually suggesting they are the puppeteers you think are controlling Biden? You think they are in positions that would allow them to control the Oval Office?

Do you really think the extremists who are pulling Biden's strings are going to show themselves to the public? I rather think not.

Given Biden's debate performance, pretty clear he's not in full command of his faculties, unfortunately.

It has long been asserted, many months before the election, that Biden was little more than a Trojan Horse for bringing leftist extremists into the executive branch, this has been pretty well documented, and are also likely the same pulling Biden's strings.

"You think they are in positions that would allow them to control the Oval Office?"
Yes. That would appear to be a reasonable conclusion.

Given only one of your alleged extremists holds a Cabinet position then it follows the various Secretaries, the AG and VP must be in on it too.

Sure.
Now I wouldn't expect any President to come with every statistic memorized but his mistakes were so jarring when he made them anyone who heard them and wasn't also mentally enfeebled would have said "What! That sounds preposterous!". He didn't.
It looks like he's decided to believe what he's been told ... roads have to be built 3 feet higher because of global warming. I'm not sure it makes a difference if he's serious or just foolish.
His condition makes him a slave to his advisers who are the likes of Susan Rice, Ron Klain, and assorted radical activists who have determinedly risen to the top in their chosen profession in order to make political changes in the Country.

I wouldn't expect any President to have every statistic memorized either. The role is, or should be, more focused on the larger issues than minutae, such as that.
Agreed, there were mistakes which were rather concerning.

No argument from me. :)

Malcom X had a hell of a quote about white liberals.

Go look it up, because it fits you to a tee.

That'd be reasonable, yes.
..........and what about their bosses, the Cabinet members? You really think Merrick Garland is part of "it"?

What an odd comment. What did anything I posted have to do with Blacks and more importantly what I think about Blacks? You have no idea what my thought are on race and race issues....no idea at all.

Why are you playing 20 questions here?

As I posted, "Do you really think the extremists who are pulling Biden's strings are going to show themselves to the public? I rather think not."

It may be revealed earlier, but it may also not be revealed until some 20 or 25 years from now when the administration's private documents are released to the public.

Regardless of all that, as I've posted, it is pretty apparent to anyone paying attention that Biden is faltering, not in full command of his faculties, this is without dispute given all the already existing video evidence. Further, the extremism of his appointments has also been demonstrated.

What conclusion do you draw?

I don't see it as you do at all. I agree Biden is not great at the microphone but I don't believe it is tied to dementia and I don't believe anyone is pulling the strings. I also don't see those people you mention as being extremists, left of centre liberal yes, extremists no.

The only people I ever hear repeating what I believe to be made up carp are the RW media and those who consume it. The day I hear a world leader, a respected member of the current or past governments or see with my own eyes that strikes me as more than just lousy at the mic I will be open to changing my mind. Nobody wants someone incompetent at the helm. We have see what that can lead to.

Meh. 'Nobody wants someone incompetent at the helm' ?
I'll let Biden's implemented policies of the first 2 months and abject failure before China frame that question.

Seems you might be wrong about that.

Well said. The Idiotic dementia/Biden is just a puppet conspiracy theory was just the only thing the right could come up with so they are riding it for all its worth. And I keep reminding them that one of the 2 presidential candidates has been tested twice for early onset dementia- and it wasnt Biden.

We get it. You learned a new word. Thank god for Tucker Carlson.
I did and I did learn it from him. I have added it to my lexicon of commonly used words because it fits the progressive morality squad very nicely.

It's somewhat amusing to see conservatives side with the Communist Chinese against their President. As President Biden explained, he knows Xi very well and spent many hours with him when he was VP. Biden said he had a lengthy, private talk with Xi the first weeks of his Presidency and laid it on the line about what they could work together on and where there would be push back. Blinken simply made the message public so everyone would know they parameters. I was happy to see him tell it like it is. Wish our guy would do that more often.

Just because I use a word they coined does not mean I agree with them on a variety of other things.

Also just because I can appreciate certain things about them should not be conflated with me not understanding that they are our adversary.

I have been saying for almost a decade now that China is a huge global threat and we should not use them to hold our debt. The interest we been paying them has been used by them to build their military.

When you step back and look at China and their relationship with the rest of the world. A solid argument that they are more influential than anyone else, including us. That is something that needs to be taken seriously.

"Blinken simply made the message public" ?

The Biden administration was thoroughly embarrassed and unprepared in their first diplomatic meeting with the Chinese delegation yesterday.

On U.S. soil, the Chinese mocked U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

“Many people within the United States actually have little confidence in the democracy of the United States,” top Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi told the Biden administration, citing the Black Lives Matter movement. The Chinese brazenly violated protocol for their 2-minute openings, each extending their comments beyond the given time. Mr. Yang spoke for 16 minutes.

Doesn't seem to have worked very well. Seems there is no respect for Biden or his administration from Xi or China.
Does a lack of preparedness for such a meeting denote incompetence? A strong hand at the helm?

I like it, but Mother Teresa? Really?

Biden said that he was happy with Blinken and China's response leads me to believe he struck a nerve. Good.
