You guys realize that the reason for the pipeline is to make shipping CHEAPER.. by reducing the need for truckers, and all the people that then depend on that trucking business right? Hotels.. gas stations.. restaurants etc.. people that make trucks.. etc?

Its a short term cost that in the end... will REDUCE the number of jobs in the region.. which is why it will be CHEAPER for the oil companies.. which is why they will do it in the first place.

Why would anyone invest $1 in the United States? Now, at any time, the government can just order your business illegal and every dollar you spent lost. The Keystone pipeline was legally built, meeting all regulations and approved by the government. Upon this, over $7,000,000,000.00 was spent. A new president just summarily essentially seized the pipeline and declared it illegal - a $7+ billion dollar trick, scam and theft by the new purely corrupt ancient President Biden.

It is far safer to invest in and develop ANY technology, project or business business in almost ANY other country in the world. It is possible that the USA is now THE most anti-capitalistic country in the world today. No contracts have any value and the only thing you can rely upon the government over is that they are lying.

The United States has become one of the most economically, politically and governmentally unstable countries in the world. The world will soon agree the American dollar is worthless because the USA is too unstable a country, unlike in the past.

How strange, I don't work on a pipeline and manage to survive.

and when the pipeline is complete there will only be something like 35 jobs that have anything to do with it,
and those are to keep track of maintenance and watch for leaks.
and if a small leak happens they won't know it until somebody sees it . a drop of say 500 to a 1000 gallons a day won't be noticed at the Gulf end and if it is over the large aquifer it could destroy the drinking water for millions of people
But who cares about that as long as large corporations can make billions off this dirty oil

Well, there was approval of vaccines in record time a couple months ago and increasing the number of vaccinations up to over a million a day since.

I hope we all realize that the only way any systemic problems in the two parties are addressed is if a viable third party springs up. That's not going to happen unless (1) the third party has a sane overall platform, or (2) less than sane persons back a party in huge numbers. As an example of #2, hardcore Trumpists might band together behind that "Patriot Party" (which if it happens, will happen because of someone less lazy than Trump)

The only reason groups like green party, LP, etc., are not seen as "corrupt" is that wealthy interests don't see the point in investment. But their overall platforms are not sane. I tell you: look at the LP's taxation policy. They honestly believe you can run America on donations, no taxes. Just...WTF. The amount of information you would have to impart to a person for them to understand why this is insane is just...oy. The best argument I've ever heard for voting LP nationally is that they won't get their policies passed. Color me non-plussed, at least as far as that being a reason to vote for someone, rather than a reason not to worry because they won.

You get some independents/3p in congress and state positions, but it's not enough to merit much investment. The moment a third party does have enough power to merit it, you'll see it, and then you'll see those same results. And that's not necessarily bad. I'd rather have 4 parties. Far right, center-right, center-left, far left. But let's not pretend this is going to make anyone immune to greed and pride. Humans are human.



Think pragmatically, not ideologically.

People are people. We're going for the least worse situation. If you think anything remotely close to Utopia is possible, you're doing it wrong. The closest you'll get is doing a bit better. You're not going to get there pretending someone is sanctified because they're not D or R.

and it would be nice if the 65% of large corps that make over a million dollars in US profits ( many of them making Billions in us profits ) started paying SOMETHING in FIT and not get away with out paying even ONE CENT in FIT.
YES anybody that works for a living and pays FIT pays more in US Federal Income Tax then 65% of all US corps making over a million dollars in US Profits

Biden was critical of Trump speeding up the process and questioned the safety of the vaccine because he had. But its possible Biden was just talkin shit and would have done the same as Trump. BUT, it was Trump cutting government regulations and restrictions that speed up the process. Democrats love government regulations and restrictions so its doubtful he would of done the same.

I feel like a man who emerged from hell today, it was an incredible relief.
