Biden Administration Finalizes Rule Preventing Federal Employees from Being Fired | National Review

Trump issued an executive order towards the end of his administration creating, ‘Schedule F,’ an employment category that would make it easier to fire federal employees.

The new rule protects members of the civil service from being recategorized into a non-protected job category. While the President maintains the right to recategorize political appointees at will, civil servants are protected.

By the time that Trump, if reelected, could get this rule rolled back, time would likely run out on him before he could enact another Schedule F.
 
Trump just needs to fire the workers anyway and have loyalists, maybe border patrol officers, physically lock them out of their government offices and seize any government computers and refuse to return them until the Supreme Court has ruled on their case

That would be illegal, there are rules. That would be authoritarian not constitutional. The president has a duty to see that the laws, and rules are executed, violating those rules/laws would be an unconstitutional act on the part of the president.

Personally I am OK with the premise of making Federal Employment clean and free of political patronage-interference. Especially egregious is the rhetoric that has emanated from Trump regarding his past actions on this and his plans being verbalized of his intent should he be (GOD FORBID) reelected.

That said, from personal first hand knowledge, it is, in my considered opinion, WAY TOO HARD to fire-remove poor and incompetent and unfit.

That doesn't even make sense.

Laws protecting civil servents do not make them "superior in authority to the president", and such laws are, in fact, constitutional.

So what the hell are you talking about?

You really should go to your local community College and take a civics class......learn about your country.

It doesn't matter if the Biden OPM makes a new rule. The Trump OPM can remove that rule.

After a rule making process that would last more than three years at minimum. Then separate rule making to reestablish Schedule F. Meaning by the time Trump could actually reestablish Schedule F, his four year term would be mostly exhausted.

But beyond that, very strong grounds for courts to uphold the new rules and block Trump from overturning them. The rules comport very nicely with the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978. Court challenges against Trump changes would likely be successful and in any event would run the clock out on Trump.
 
Why don't you just defect to a country you would actually fit in at like Russia, Iran, or maybe North Korea?
